I like to have nice clean hands and it can become a bit of an obsession of mine, particularly as I work with many small children who are perhaps less adept at the old hand washing than I'd like, so when I look for a soap for handwashing, I always look for something that will do a good job. Carex is a tried and tested brand from Cussons who call themselves 'the hand care experts'. They make a great deal of hand hygiene products, including the one I am reviewing: Carex Aloe Vera Hand Wash. The product is a liquid soap for washing hands and comes in a plastic square-shaped bottle with a pump dispenser (as shown in the picture). The soap is green in ... Read the complete review

Carex are one of the leading brands when it comes to hygiene and sanitary products. Gone are the days when a bog standard bar of soap and a bucket of water will do the job. These days it is all about the ingredients and the bacteria! I have used a few of the Carex products before, so it is a brand which I trust. This handwash is ideal for people who are in a hurry. If you need to wash your hands after preparing fresh meat, or perhaps you have just washed the dog, or maybe just visited the lavatory, the hand wash will suffice for all those situations, making it versatile. It comes in an easy to use bottle with a pump action lid. This means you can ... Read the complete review

When it comes to washing my hands my preference has always been liquid soap. I have a rather strong aversion to bars of soap; everything from the texture to the smell makes me cringe. I particularly hate it when you get some caught under your fingernails and have to scrape it out! Anyway, this strange little peculiarity of mine means that I seem to get through bottles of liquid soap quicker than you'd believe. One of my favourite brands is Carex as you always know you are getting a good quality soap that is antibacterial to boot. When I used to work in the food industry this was the recommended soap of choice so I this gives me an added confidence in the ... Read the complete review

I have a bottle of Carex anitbacterial handwash by the kitchen sink- I admit I like to have something more girly in the bathroom - but before preparing food - girly is not my priority- I want clean - very clean -anti bacterial clean. Cussons has been around for a very long time and that is why I chose Carex as it is manufactured by Cussons, which is a name I feel I can trust. The container holds 250mls and only cost me £1.60 and it seems to last for ages as the pump dispenser just gives you a small amount which is all you need. No one would enjoy the benefits of this product if your hands ended up feeling dry, but this is not the case ... Read the complete review

I bought this recently when it was on offer at Boots the Chemist, and you could buy two for £2.00 - a great deal. It's a standard container for handwash, coming in a 500ml square bottle, with a green coloured squirt top. The hand wash comes with an addition of Aloe Vera, something that is widely acknowledged as soothing to the skin, as well as having the potential to speed up the healing process. The hand wash itself is quite mild, and I really preferred this to the stronger types, and I have fairly sensitive skin - which can sometimes get irritated by the stronger hand washes. The mild strength of the hand wash was also combined with the mild ... Read the complete review
