My nephew was born premature, he needed extra special care and treatment at home. Everything had to be cleaned and made safe for him. When visiting one day I saw this hand gel being used and was impressed at how quickly it cleaned my hands and left them feeling dry. I went out on the hunt and found one in Boots - it was the Aloe Vera version. It cost me no more than one pound for a small 50g bottle. The packaging is simple (which I prefer), clear and informative. No complex or tricky applicators. Just a simple pull off top with a pump inside. Once pressed a small pea shape gel emits which is more then enough to clean your hands both front and back. I have ... Read the complete review

I brought a bottle of Carex Hand Gel last week on the recommendation of a friend. I purchased it from Boots but it is available to buy from stores such as Superdrug, Savers, Lloyds Chemists etc. Apart from when visiting hospitals, using hand gel is something which I have never really thought about in the past, but with all the negative press nowadays on virus's such as MRSA and Swine Flu being on the increase then I have now realised that little measures such as using hand gel can help stop the spread of germs and bacteria in my household, making my family less likely to become infected with such diseases. ~The Product~ Carex Hand Gel comes in a handy ... Having OCD, when it's not possible to wash my hands I like to have another option for sanitizing them, and in the current climate with all this swine flu business more and more people are turning to this option. There are larger sizes of this product available with a pump action dispenser but I find that this a much more convenient size to carry around and about with me. It's great to be able to sanitize your hands when you are not able to get to a sink to wash them properly, and gives you that peace of mind feeling that you are safe from germs, as this claims to kill 99.9% of the bacteria. It dries quite quickly whilst applying and has ... Read the complete review

When you have young children then there is need for a little bottle of this stuff when you are out and about. I have a thing about keeping my hands clean so if I do a quick nappy change on a park bench somewhere or Noah comes running up to me with what looks like bird poo on his finger, then this bottle comes out of the bag to kill any germs that could be lurking anywhere. This 100ml bottle cost me around the £1.50 mark from Sainsburys and claims to kill 99.9% of bacteria. It states that it's a fast drying product and that you get over 100 applications per bottle. I wouldn't normally pay for something this expensive but the fact that I get quite a ... Read the complete review

After the outbreak of swine flu and all the adverts showing people sneezing then touching door handles and lift buttons, I think I got a bit paranoid and ended up buying some of this for me, my daughter and a big one for the house to try to minimise the risk of spreading any germs around. I carry one in my handbag and my daughter takes one to school. I bought the two for £1.39 for 50ml. The little clear lid pulls off easily and then the hand wash can be squirted into your hands using the little press down applicator. This is much better than the ones that you use like shampoo bottles because you always end up using too much with those but with this, you can ... Read the complete review
