Advantages: Gorgeous fruity smell, moisturising.
Disadvantages: As with all lush soaps expensive.
Carmen Miranda was one of my first lush purchases and it has become a favourite with all the family - it's the one which makes people come out of the bathroom sniffing their hands saying 'what is that soap?' (In a GOOD way!)
The main scents in the bar are juniper, bergamot, kiwi and Gardinia. The Kiwi is definitely the strongest of those, but they all work together beautifully - it smells like a fresh tropical fruit tart drizzled in cream - sweet, but vibrant.
The soap is very moisturising without being greasy - it doesn't leave a residue on the skin, but they do feel lots softer and less dry than with most soaps.
It's an attractive looking soap, depending on which bit you get - however, even if you don't get any brightly coloured 'fruit' bits in it, it's still a very attractive green.
It costs £2.20 for 100g, which is average for lush soaps. Compared to most soaps, it's obviously expensive, so I'll just compare it to its lush peers. It is quite soft in consistency, so it does get used up a bit faster than most - I tend not to leave it in the shower as it can get a bit soggy. However, I was told to try leaving it in a freezer bag in the freezer for a few days before using it for the first time, so I'll try that and let you know how it goes!
The only other negative is how quickly you stop being able to smell it on your own skin - however, other people notice it. Looks like I'll just have to carry a chunk in my handbag for when I want a sniff!
Summary: Fruity, moisturising, almost edible
