Advantages: Light, spa smell

Disadvantages: None

I recently spent a lovely weekend at The Champneys Spa in Henlow Grange. It was beautiful and relaxing and somewhere I would definitely go again. Throughout the spa and the hotel they use all their own products, so for example in the showers in the spa you get their brand of Shampoo and conditioner, body lotions and whenever you have a treatment they always use the Champneys branded oils, lotions and potions.

In our hotel room we had mini sample bottles of lotion, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and soap and this is how I came about a little bottle of the Citrus Blush hand and body lotion. I quickly popped it into my toiletry bag so I would remember to take it home and I'm glad I did as I absolutely love it and now, having almost come to the end of the sample size I am going to be buying a full size bottle as I liked it so much.

The lotion is from their Spa Treatments range as this is written on the little tube and I would definitely agree that is is a spa smelling type of lotion. Its definitely has the type of smell that you have in a spa but I really like it as it makes me think I have just had a lovely relaxing spa treatment after I have applied it. The lotion contains uplifting lemon, orange and cardamom and although it doesn't smell that fruity to me it still has a really pleasant smell. The lotion is quite strong and you can smell this for a long time after you have applied it.

Champneys say this lotion will leave skin moisturised, refreshed and soft.It does have a nice smoothing effect after I have applied it to my hands and I like the way it makes them feel. I was surprised when I first used this lotion as its quite a thin, light lotion. Usually with hand creams you expect them to be quite thick and nourishing and I was thinking that probably this hand cream would not be as good as a thick one but I was wrong and being quite light it soaks into the skin really quickly and easily and doesn't leave them sticky or feeling like you have applied a product.

THe little tube I have is only 30ml so it was never going to last that long. You can buy bigger bottles either at the Champneys spa itself or Boots also stock their range. I have had a quick look and a 250ml bottle with a handy pump lid only costs £6 which I think is great value for a lovely hand and body lotion.
