I love the Body Shop, and I love the smell of coconut, so it was only a matter of time before I bought their coconut body butter. It's rather expensive at £12.20 for a 200ml pot, but is it worth it?

It comes in a nice round pot with a screw on lid which is nice and easy to open. The pot is very robust and can withstand lots of knocks so it's fine in a bag, though it's not really the best packaging to be taking away with you.

The butter is quite thick and very creamy, and the coconut smell is absolutely gorgeous and not at all too strong. It feels silky and creamy on my skin when I apply it, and it seems to have quite a soothing effect, particularly on dry areas.

It sinks into the skin fairly quickly, but I find it does leave a little bit of a greasy residue as it is quite a rich butter. I'd say it's best to leave about 10 minutes for it to properly sink in before getting dressed or your clothes will stick to you for a while.

This body butter does leave my skin feeling amazingly soft and silky, and completely hydrates any dry areas, ridding me of my dry, flaky, or scaly skin that I do often get. I don't think that it's suitable for everyday use as it's so rich, unless you have extremely dry skin, so I prefer to use it as a weekly pampering treat for my body and this keeps it feeling gorgeous and soft. The lovely coconut smell also lingers on the skin for hours after using it, so you can smell it throughout the day, which is great.

This is definitely one of the better body butters I've used, and you don't need to use a lot at a time, but as it's so expensive I wouldn't buy it for everyday use.
