Colgate is a well known tooth-paste brand and this new addition named Advanced Whitening Plus Tartar Control initially brought suspicions as to how effective it would work. Previous experience with Colgate proved that not every one worked as well as advertised but this one was slightly different.

~~~WHAT IT SAYS ON THE BOX~~~
What I understood from the box, it says that it has microbeads which will help remove plaque and controls tartar growth, while it has whitening formula to effectively whiten teeth, and is proven by dentists and experts.

I found this rather attractive when browsing for toothpaste, and was what got me interested in trying this particular one.

~~~TASTE~~~
The taste is regular mint and I felt no difference to other toothpaste by Colgate, but perhaps it was slightly milky or alkali taste due to the microbeads or whitening formula or whatever chloride or fluoride that is inside this.

The taste wasn't very strong but leaves a refreshing minty taste after brushing which is long lasting. This made it feel as if it makes you have fresher breath.

~~~TEXTURE~~~
The texture is smooth as any other, and I could not feel the micro beads at all. I thought this was rather stupid because how did I know if there were any micro beads AT ALL? They could just say there was some and really not put it in!

But anyway, if it did have feelable micro beads perhaps it would be less pleasant a brush and they might get stuck or something. I found that it frothed really easily which made brushing easy and cleaning was really easy, perhaps also due to my toothbrush.

It was soothing against teeth and gums and really feels that it has cleaned the teeth and removed the dirt or plaque that was there.

~~~EFFECT~~~
I found this toothpaste really effective and have been using it for about two weeks now. Teeth are easily cleaned and has a long lasting effect. Teeth also feel whiter and gradually get better which is great, as I need to see physical changes and for these to be quite quick makes me like this product.

~~~OVERALL~~~
Overall, it has not been a mistake to choose this product from the start, the decision of which has been confirmed after using this for half a month. I like the taste and the texture, as it does not make it too distinct or different from normal toothpaste, yet it has the added features of whitening and really DOES give a good clean.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a better toothpaste or want to see signs of change.

However, it isn't cheap. Expect this for around £2.

Summary: Good overall and very pleased.
