Colgate Flourigard

Description: Brand: Colgate / Type: Mouthwash

... not had to undergo any treatment at the dentist for fillings (thank goodness) for a couple of years. It doesn't taste bad either - just fresh & minty - not as strong as Listerine & thus doesn't feel 'aggressive' on the teeth or gums. It's also not the type of mouthwash where you have to 'brace yourself' before using & would probably be fine for those with sensitive teeth & gums. Directions for use along with a full list of (nonsensical) ingredients are listed quite clearly on the reverse label of the...more

Premium Review Colgate Flourigard: Fluorigard's my bottled friend (507 words)

I've always sure that I've done the best I can for my & my daughters' teeth & gums - partly to ensure they looked & felt good - but mostly to avoid treatment at the dentist thus avoiding pain/ uncomfort & high bills. Luckily my daughters have beautiful teeth & the importance they've given to caring for them has certainly paid off. In the 50s though the attitude seemed to be the norm that children had fillings, mouthwashes weren't readily available & there were no electric or sonic toothbrushes to be found - hence a lot of people in their 50s & more don't have terrific teeth & gums. Over the years I've tried lots of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A Pleasant Tasting Alcohol Free Mouthwash (307 words)

I was first introduced to Flourigard by my husband Dave after he came home from the dentists with a bottle one day. Being an Asian surgery, they attract a lot of Muslim custom so the reason they started stocking this alcohol free mouthwash was to cater for their needs. The dentist informed my Dave that having compared the effects with the effects of other mouthwashes containing alcohol, they felt this was a much better product especially because it is suitable for the whole family. So we all gave this a try in our house and have been so pleased we have used it ever since. It costs £4.99 for a 500ml bottle although we frequently purchase this on offer for £3 ...  Read the complete review

I'm a little fussy with mouthwashes in that I don't like those strong minty tastes or that make you feel slightly sick after using them. I was recommended Colgate Fluorigard by my dentist when I asked for a reliable mouthwash that would help protect my teeth and gums. She gave me a little sample bottle and because I was happy with it, I bought the full-size product from Boots and I've been using it for a while now. Colgate have a 200 year history and so you can rest assured that their knowledge will provide you with a quality dental product. Fluorigard claims to be clinically proven to fight cavities and reduce decay by up to 40%. It's designed as a daily ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Prevention is better than cure (293 words)

Whenever I visit the dentist, I am always told about my inflammed gums. I was advise to floss regularly to stop any gum problem and stop any decay,. However a hygenist also recommend that I use Colgate Flourigard mouthwash to strengthen the tooth enamel. The plastic bottle with blue liquid look quite inviting. The direction indicated on the label states to use flourigard rinse at a different time to toothbrushing. To rinse daily with 10ml around and between the teeth for one minute and spit out. Lastly, to avoid drinking, eating or rinsing mouth for 15mins after use. The taste is slightly minty and pleasant. The part that I dislike is the 15mins ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Colgate Flourigard: Flourigard Mouthwash (190 words)

I was recommended this a few years ago by my dentist. I had some decay between my teeth and she didn't want to start drilling. She recommended flossing and Flourigard, which is flouride in a bottle as I'm sure you've guessed. When I went back to my dentist I only needed one tooth filling and I've used Flourigard ever since (on the advice of my dentist). When I first used it Flourigard was an over the counter "medicine", but you can now buy it in Boots or the supermarket. It is supposed to minimize the acids on your teeth as well as strengthen them. I certainly think it does it's job. Everyone in my family has terrible teeth so I feel that I ...  Read the complete review
