I've suffered from mouth ulcers since I was a little boy. Very young in fact. I generally have around 3 or 4 at any one time and I've had up to 8 in my mouth sometimes. Now I'm into my thirties I tend to consider mouth ulcers as a minor irritation because I can more or less block out the pain due to being so used to it. Unless, that is, I have a particularly big one and then nothing can block the pain out.

I have always used Ambasol as a pain killer. I've tried everything out there and it's the best, believe me. I've even been to a specialist hospital to see if anything could be done. The doctor told me that they didn't know what was causing it but I'd probably grow out of it by the time I'm fifty. Not what you want to hear when your eleven!

But now I think I've virtually eradicated the problem (I hope). I've always suspected that I was allergic to mint, so I deceided to swop toothpaste and try one without mint to see what would happen. The mouth ulcers have almost completely dissapeared. I cannot recommend a non-mint toothpaste highly enough to anyone who suffers from ulcers. I'm using Colgate Herbal Toothpaste at the moment and it also seems to be doing the trick (I've tried others as well).

I've managed to cure what medical science could not simply by changing toothpaste. So go on all you people who suffer from ulcers, give it a go. You know you want to.

The paste itself is white with a some lovely thin green sripes running through it, and it comes out of the tube very easily. The taste itself is quite unusual. I can't really put my finger on it to be honest, but it's not an unpleasent experience. It's just herby really, which is good I suppose, given the name.

39;ve just ordered a new wide-screen TV and I'll write an indepth op on that as soon as it arrives, OK? My real motive when writing the op was to inform ulcer suffers about something that may help them out rather than to review the toothpaste itself. It's taken me 30 years to get rid of them, hopefully it won't take others so long. Spread the word!
