Colgate Oxygen toothpaste is a light blue gel, with darker blue flecks suspended within it. It comes packaged in the company's trademark red-and-white livery, with a bubbly, oval 'Oxygen' logo to one side. The branding is a bit dumbed down - what on earth is special about 'Oxygen'? Don't all toothpastes work in the presence of air? Actually, the key ingredient here is Calcium Peroxide. This is a chemical which is used as a cleaning agent, that releases oxygen when it comes into contact with water (hence the name). However, it can also burn the inside of your mouth, though there's probably not enough in the tube to do any serious damage! Like ... Read the complete review

I am always on the look out for offers when shopping and seeing Colgate Oxygen on a BOGOF in my local supermarket a few months ago I decided to give it a try. I rarely buy Colgate due to it being quite a bit more expensive than other brands but since one tube worked out at just 97p for 100ml it was the same as the usual 'cheaper' brands I use. - Price - As of April 2006 Asda & Tesco 100ml - 1.94 Pump action 100ml tube 2.28 Sainsburys 50ml - 1.19 100ml - 1.94 I bought x2 100ml tubes for 1.94 on a special offer. - Compared with other brands per 100ml - * Aquafresh - ... COLGATE OXYGEN TOOTHPASTE We popped a new toothpaste in our trolley last month, it was Colgate 'Oxygen' toothpaste, and they proudly told me that I would have "a clean, fresh mouth, like a fresh of breath air"!! Did it?? APPEARANCE The 100ml tube came in a cardboard box (why do they do that, it seems a complete waste and it is hardly environmentally friendly); the box is pale blue with a big red Colgate logo and a little pile of bubbles!! The box also tells me that this toothpaste will provide us with Pure Freshness Long lasting fresh breath Care and Protection for our teeth and gums ... Read the complete review

Toothpaste is toothpaste right? wrong!!!! I have on numerous occassions tried to swap my branded products for shops own.Very few come even close. I have always used colgate and at a very short gap to the age of 30 have never had a crack, weak tooth, filling etc. On trying other toothpastes I never feel as if the freshness is as strong or long lasting. So its false economy to buy the other non branded ones.Espescially seeing as most supermarkets at different times will sell this on BOGOF.It is one of the products that stands out as being regularly on offer. It isnt the cheapest out there but in saying it is commonly on offer ,usually only works out a ... Read the complete review

After my favourite toothpaste ran out the other week I went out to fetch some more - I searched high and low in many stores not being able to find MY one - I've been using it for over a year or so now and swear by it so I had to settle for something less so whatever one I chose had some high expectations to meet. After searching, searching and doing some more searching I finally settled for Colgate Oxygen - Pure Freshness. For a clean, fresh mouth - like a breath of fresh air - that was what it said on the box - well that was how my usual toothpaste made my mouth feel so I was hoping this would be just as good. If you've read my last review about Colgate Advanced Fresh ... Read the complete review
