Colgate Plax Anti-Plaque Rinse Classic

A luminously red mouthwash from colgate, free of gimmicks such as 'mix yourself'. This wash is a perfect accompaniment to colgate toothpaste. It doesn't seem as powerful as Listerine, but does have quite a strong alcohol flavour, which could not be described as pleasant but is relatively invigorating and quite refreshing. After using it, you'll find your teeth feeling very smooth and shiny, and it is good at killing any hints of bad breath. This review refers to the peppermint version of this mouthwash which is a light blue coloured liquid rather than the pink as illustrated in the picture. Its not my normal brand and was an impulse purchase whilst travelling. Colgate Plax is labelled as a "Multi Protection" mouthwash which is claimed to be developed and clinically tested by dentists to provide "12 hour protection against bacteria & plaque for long lasting fresh breath". After my teeth got bad I spent several months switching between differents brands of mouth wash desperately trying to find the best one. I settled on the colgate Plax ones after trying all of the major brands (listerine, colgate, ownbrand, the one that mixes when you shake it). I also tried plax sensitive (the pink one that isn't alcohol based) and it really seems to do nothing, they haven't managed to replace the alcohol with an active ingredient so I finally settled on the alcohol based plax range.
