Advantages: Reasonably priced, gets the nooks and crannies

Disadvantages: None but be cautious of excessive use of alcohol based mouthwashes

After my teeth got bad I spent several months switching between differents brands of mouth wash desperately trying to find the best one. I settled on the colgate Plax ones after trying all of the major brands (listerine, colgate, ownbrand, the one that mixes when you shake it). I also tried plax sensitive (the pink one that isn't alcohol based) and it really seems to do nothing, they haven't managed to replace the alcohol with an active ingredient so I finally settled on the alcohol based plax range.

I also researched whether alcohol based mouthwashes are bad for your mouth, I couldn't find anything conclusive other than one poor lad that messed his mouth up by washing 5/6 times per day with the mouthwash. I have used it for several months just using it twice per day and I'm very satisfied with the results, you can feel that it gets between your teeth if you give it the full 30 seconds recommended on the bottle and the "Zing" feeling usually lasts until you start bombarding your mouth with coffee again.

I'd definitely recommend brushing your tongue first though, else the mouthwash has a lot of work to do!
