Ordinarily I use either Dentyl mouthwash or an own brand variety as I've never got on with the likes of Listerine and find it too harsh. I picked up a couple of bottles of this Colgate mouthwash on a recent trip to Poundland as they were £1 per bottle. The bottles are about half the size of a typical mouthwash bottle (and considerably smaller than the product image that you can see above) but a bargain nonetheless. ***The Taste*** As I've already hinted, I can't use Listerine mouthwashes as the minty flavour is too intense for me and makes my tongue tingle too much. Fortunately, the fresh mint flavour of this mouthwash isn't overwhelming and just offers a ... Read the complete review

I must admit that I'm a great believer in using mouthwashes & although I can't scientifically prove that they're actually as beneficial as they claim to be, I do feel that my mouth feels a whole lot fresher after using a mothwash. My absolute favourite one is Fluoriguard but this is sometimes hard to find so I opt for my next on the list which is Plax Cool Mint in the 600ml bottles which hubby buys in bulk from Costco. This size is usually around the £5 mark but Costco have an offer on at the moment (7/9) where the 3rd bottle's free. It may sound quite dear but 600ml is a good size which lasts me well over 4 weeks. The bottle is as shown in the ... Read the complete review

Mr Lools is rarely trusted to do the main grocery shopping on his own as he is very partial to "picking up a bargain" which turns out its not actually a bargain special offer buy! One of these instances was with mouthwash in which he purchased 4 bottles of Colgate Plax mouthwash because it was on BOGOFF in Asda. So for £4 he returned home with 4 500ml bottle of mouthwash... which would have been good value if the mouthwash was any good! ***Packaging*** The bottle is clear plastic with a white plastic cap. The bottle has a clear plastic label on and the majority of the text on the bottle is white and red. The mouthwash inside the bottle ... Read the complete review

I normally use Dentyl PH mouthwash which I love but due to this contamination scare they had recently the shelves in the supermarkets and Boots and Superdrug have been emptied of their products so I had to get something else. I haven't really tried many other mouthwashes before and generally find mouthwash to be quite expensive so I saw there was Colgate on offer and having been happy with their toothpaste decided to go with that. The bottle is clear plastic which is good for knowing how much remains so you know when you need to go and get some more. The one I picked was the Cool Mint version which is a bright blue and looked quite nice. It promises 12 hour ... Read the complete review

After brushing, I normally use a mouthwash to complete my oral health routine. I used to buy the cool looking 'Dentyl pH' brand (which you shake to mix yourself), before realising it was a bit too pricey, and the fact that you're basically paying for a gimmick. My latest mouthwash purchase was 'Colgate Plax', an alcohol free concoction which claims to offer "12 hour protection against bacteria and plaque". Housed in a transparent blue bottle, you can currently purchase the 500ml size container for £2.63 from Tesco where it's also in a '2for1' offer. I actually couldn't work out why the text on the front of the bottle claims that the ... Read the complete review
