... hurting. At £3.60 for a bottle, it certainly hurt my wallet buying it, but my tooth hurt so much I was willing to try it out. The liquid is pink and looks like any other mouthwash: watery with a touch of oiliness to it. It tastes strong, minty, and actually hurts a little to swill it around your mouth for a long period. It contains no alcohol, but it still hurts, so I was surprised at that. You're supposed to swill a cap-full for 30 secs and I have to say that after a few days my teeth did feel better, which is what...more

Crowned Review Colgate Plax Sensitive: Smoother teeth, fresher breath (908 words)

Do you know the feeling when you run your tongue along the inside of your teeth and feel a layer of fur has grown on them? Do you know what it is like when brushing your teeth just does not do enough to remove this fur? Are you self-conscious about what odour meets the person standing opposite you when you open your mouth to speak? I do not know about you, but my cleaning my teeth is probably the most important part of my daily hygiene routine. I brush at least two times a day, if not three. I also floss regularly. And, as if my dentist could not be proud enough already of my good habits, I also use mouthwash. There are loads of different mouthwash ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Fresh breath, clean teeth, what more do you want? (495 words)

Having recently suffered from pain in the mouth area, specifically around my wisdom teeth, I decided I should make an attempt at caring for my mouth and teeth slightly better than I have up to now. A trip to Asda soon saw me with 2 bottles of mouthwash. At the time, Asda had a deal on the Colgate Plax mouthwashes, being 2 for £3. We purchased one bottle of the Sensitive variety and a second bottle of different flavour, which if is on here, I shall also review. The reason for buying 2 different flavours was in case we didn't like one, we would have a second to use instead. I don't know if the deal is still on, as I have no need to buy more mouthwash at the minute, ...  Read the complete review

I have run out of Listerine and noticed that Tescos currently have a Buy One Get One Free (BOGOF) offer on Colgate Plax which I have not tried for a while. One of the mouthwashes I purchased was Colgate Plax Sensitive Gentle Care. Packaging and appearance: The mouthwash is contained within a 500ml transparent plastic bottle. The Colgate logo is fairly obvious, with the Plax letters in bold white font. Also apparent is a small clock which indicates that the product provides 12 hour protection against bacteria and plaque. The mouthwash is a fairly unnatural looking dark pink colour with some bubbles on the top liquid layer. Smell: The mouthwash does ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Do you spit or swallow? (429 words)

Since the end of my last pregnancy I have had really sensitive teeth due to the fact that I would crunch on ice cubes like there was no tomorrow. I had this awful craving for them and no matter how much I knew they would ruin my teeth, I kept on crunching. I go through weeks where my teeth feel fine then they start to hurt so I get out the Sensodyn and brush like crazy but I also came across this product when I was scanning the shelves at Sainsbury's. It was expensive at £3.65 a bottle but if it was going to help then I didn't mind. It's a mouthwash that is specifically for sensitive teeth and is alcohol free. It provides a 12 hour protection against plaque ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Colgate Plax Sensitive: Mouthwash for sensitive teeth & gums that is minty fresh. (346 words)

I am suffering from sensitive teeth and gums at the moment so I have been looking out for products which may help me deal with this whilst combating the problems that are causing it. This bottle is a 500ml bottle of pink mouthwash which is provided in a clear bottle with a white screw top lid which doubles up as a measuring device for your mouthwash. Simply fill the cap to the line (20ml) and then rinse this around your mouth for about 25-30 seconds and then gargle and spit the mouthwash back out. It has quite a gentle mint flavouring and is nothing too overpowering. I do find with some mouthwashes that they make my eyes water and I feel the need to swallow ...  Read the complete review
