When it comes to the subject of toothpaste in my house it's a great source of argument. Me and me Mother are both Mcleans fans but my Step-dad will only use Colgate and that is that as far as he's concerned! We only need one tube of toothpaste at any one time in the bathroom so me Step-dad (cos he has the biggest gob) always wins and we all end up using Colgate! I'm not keen on the brand full stop but every-time I'm out shopping I forget to get any so I do end up having to like it and lump it more often than not! The Packaging: Mainly white oblong box with patches of red and light blue colour on it. On the front and back of the box I'm told it's ... Read the complete review

I received a sample 19ml tube of this toothpaste in the post last week. I got it free by requesting it from the Colgate web site. The offer has now ended. Colgate state that the toothpaste is a "gentle formula specially formulated for sensitive teeth and enamel protection" They also advise that it is not for use by children under seven years of age. It says on the tube that it contains Sodium Fluoride and Bevat: Natriumfluoride. I have done a little Google research on Bevat: Natriumfluoride. Bevat appears to mean contains and I have found some articles on the net stating that Natriumfluoride is sometimes used in ... Read the complete review

At the moment you only have to pay £1 for this at Tescos! That's right! £1! (its on offer currently, Feb 2009) normally it retails at around £2.60 and still does elsewhere. I bought this after not having enough money left after my food shop to replace my normal toothpaste. Now that may sound odd, your thinking, surely, pick up a Tesco Value toothpaste and save a fortune. Only, you cannot do that if you have sensitive teeth. If you do not use a specially designed tooth paste, you feel as though you have sipped on acid the next time any liquid goes into your mouth, and as if you are eating sand paper when you bite into anything. Painful is not the ... Read the complete review

There seems to be hundreds of different toothpastes on the market at the moment, each claiming to either whiten your teeth, give you fresh breath, eliminate sensitivity, fight cavities or a combination of the lot. On my most recent visit to the dentist I was told I have pretty bad gingivitis and I need to floss everyday. On top of that, I was suffering from sensitive tooth pain. I was told it's because my gums have receded and so parts of my teeth weren't protected by enamel. So it was recommended I use special toothpaste, which would remineralise the enamel, hardening the tooth's surface. In the past I have used lots of different toothpastes designed for ...
