This op refers to Colgate Sensational Toothpaste.

Cleaning of teeth is something that becomes second nature to all of us (I hope!) however choosing a decent toothpaste is something that doesn?t come quite so easily. When you visit the supermarket or chemist shop there are rows upon rows of dental care products ? so where do you start? Well I?m no expert and am quite prone to heading to the special offers although this doesn?t always work in my favour ? the last lot I ended up with didn?t make my teeth feel clean at all and ended up in the bin?

My last toothpaste purchase was a bit of a lucky find, I?d done my grocery shopping and was heading pass Boots the chemist when I realised I?d forgotten the toothpaste, so off I trot and yet again find myself glancing through the special offers. COLGATE SENSATION DEEP CLEAN: WHITENING was on offer as a ?buy one get one free? at £2.49 for a 100ml tube. I?m in a hurry, chuck them in my basket and hope I?ve not made the same mistake as last time.

So yes, yet again I?ve purchased toothpaste without reading the label and although I have prior knowledge of the brand know nothing of the actual product. Personally I just think there is far too much on offer, new products land on the shelves daily each claiming to be better than the last so can I really be blamed for not actually knowing what I?m picking up? It bores me having to scan the packaging ? why can?t it be simple ? a handful to choose from? Anyway it?s not and I like many others find myself playing the toothpaste lottery? Will I get a decent product? It?s laughable!

So anyway this time I?m pleased! I?ve picked up the right tube! COLGATE SENSATION DEEP CLEAN: WHITENING is proving to be one of our household?s favourite yet. The toothpaste contains Bicarbonate of Soda which although I have found in the past can be rather harsh and overpowering in your mouth (first thing in the morning!) here it is rather refreshing and as with other bicarbonat
e toothpastes is not very gritty in texture but rather smooth.

The paste is white with a bright blue stripe and after brushing in the usual manner seems to do as the tube claims as my mouth certainly feels refreshingly clean. I?m never sure what this ?whitening? thing is with a toothpaste ? my teeth just look the same to me, which suits me as I?m not sure if I?d want something to change their colour. (I?ve never had white teeth ? now that doesn?t mean they?re black, brown or yellow. I have very strong enamel which means I?ll never have white white nashers, ok? Apparently it?s very healthy!)

So what am I doing writing an op about toothpaste? You see me and my other half have quite a lot in common so we talk about music, life, the news generally interesting stuff but when we find ourselves having a conversation about toothpaste something?s gotta? be good or we're just losing the plot! We both agree this is one of the better toothpastes we?ve tried. It?s leaves a pleasant taste and gives you confidence that your mouth is fresh.

At £2.49 a tube I think Colgate are having a bit of a laugh but if I see it on offer again I?d certainly stock up. A 100ml tube tends to last us around a month with general use.

I use Colgate or Macleans, but the high price of toothpaste sometimes winds me up. They know it is something any clean person cannot do without so charge extortionate amounts for it.
