The active ingredients is chlorhexidine digluconate which is an antibacterial agent that reduces the formation of dental plaque. I suffer from a lot of mouth ulcers and swear by Corsodyl mouthwash after it was recommended to me by my dentist many years ago. It can also be used to treat and prevent gum disease, bleeding gums, to promote gum healing, to manage oral thrush and denture sore mouth and to maintain mouth hygiene. I would say that is it suitable for all of the above except to maintain mouth hygiene. This product is a well known brand of mouthwash. It is available in many supermarkets & chemists. I bought my 600ml bottle in Morrisons and although I can't quite remember how much it cost, but it was in the reigon of £6-7.
