Product: Corsodyl mint mouthwash(300ml), manufactured by glaxosmithkline.

WHAT IS CORSODYL?
The active ingredients is chlorhexidine digluconate which is an antibacterial agent that reduces the formation of dental plaque.

REMINDER
Do not use if you have any allergic reaction to chlorhexidine digluconate, not also advisable to use right after brushing your teeth. Toothpaste can stop corsodyl from working. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and wait 5 minutes after brushing your teeth before using corsodyl. It can also be use at a different times of the day.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
-Stop using the mouthwash and seek medical attention if you get a rash,swelling of the mouth or face or have difficulty breathing. These effects may be symptoms of an allergic reaction which is very rare.
-Stop using the mouthwash and tell your dentist if you get irritation of the mouth or swelling of the inside of the cheeks. These effect should go away when treatment is stopped.
-Temporary staining of the tongue. This will disappear when treatment is stopped.
-Temporary staining of the teeth. This can normally be removed by brushing. You can avoid staining by not drinking tea, coffee or wine (especially 1 hour after use & by brushing with toothpaste). if staining continues it can be removed with a scale & polish from your dentist or hygienist.
-If peeling of the skin inside the mouth occurs. Dilute corsodyl with an equal amount of water.
-If you do get any side effects asside from those mentioned, tell your dentist, doctor or pharmacist.

HOW TO USE?
Fill the cap to 10ml line, rinse mouth thoroughly for 1 minute then spit out. Can be use twice a day. If you have gum desease, a month course (600ml) is recommended. But if you have a denture sore mouth, you have to clean and soak your dentures in corsodyl for 15 minutes twice a day. When experiencing mouth ulcers and oral thrush, use it for 2 days after healing has occured. Definitely useful in dealing different mouth problems.

MY EXPERIENCE
Recently I had a tooth extraction. It was very uncomfortable and I can almost feel that the infection is building up so my aunt recommended this product to me. I decided to give it a try to help me with the discomfort and future problem it may cause if I won't do something. Got one immediately in tesco and tried it . Upon opening, I smell the strong minty flavour, I actually did'nt mind it because I'm very focus with the discomfort I had so I followed the instruction and gargle it up to 60 second as per advice. I felt the burning sensation and almost tempted to spit it out. On the otherhand I'm still thinking that I have to get on with it. As soon as I finished, I can still feel the strong flavour that actually stayed on my mouth for few hours. With a continued use, I get along with the strong smell and flavour . I'm 100% pleased with the way it work out, the healing process is fast. It really helps clean up and avoid infection .

CONCLUSION
Corsodyl has many use not only that it helps fight infection but it treats gum problems, mouth ulcers, oral thrush and denture sore mouth. On the down side it may also cause temporary staining of the teeth and tongue, so better be aware about the necessary precaution to avoid staining. It is quite expensive compare to other mouthwash but i managed to get mine while on offer for £1.76. Now it's back to £2.76 at tesco. Luckily I just grabbed extra bottle for any future use.
