Advantages: CHEAP, NOT PERFUMED TO IRRITATE, EVEN THE MOST SENSITIVE SKIN CAN USE IT
Disadvantages: NONE
I actually bought this last year when I was going through another bout of itchy skin and had crusty patches all over my body. I now put it down to stress and went to the doctor who didn't prescribe anything at all. In my town where I live they have a few bargain shops who sell more or less any product, so because I was told not to put anything perfumed into my bath, I went on the prowl for a natural shower gel or bubble bath. This is when I came across Cussons Carex Body Wash. To be honest I hadn't notice the words Antibacterial Moisturising until today, I must be losing my sight. All I saw it that it was suitable for sensitive skin. The bottle contains a lovely pale Blue shower gel/body wash and comes in a 250 ml size plastic bottle with flip up lid. 99p was all I paid for it, apparently in most shops it's £1.99, so as always I came out with a bargain. Nothing too appealing about the bottle, but as long as it's contents did the trick, that was all I was bothered about. I tend to use a scrunchie to wash myself with, as it has multi purposes, it makes your shower gel last longer. I applied a small amount of Carex to the scrunchie and it really did lather up quite well, also with a scrunchie you can get rid of the dead skin on your body with it's rough texture. There wasn't a strong aroma from the Carex, just a pleasant gentle one which I could tell wasn't highly perfumed. Having sensitive skin several times through the year, I have to be careful what I use, and I must say this product didn't irritate nor sting my skin. The extra benefit was it was also Antibacterial just in case there were any nasty bacteria trying to attack me. It left my skin quite soft and even though I do prefer a lovely smelling shower gel, I wasn't disapointed at all. It didn't smell of what I would have expected from an Antibacterial item. It also contains a blend of moisturisers which I always need with
having very dry skin, this time I think I had a bout of Eczema which wasn't pleasant. I just itched and scratched all the time for several weeks. Using Carex helped me, of course I used another product from the chemist to stop me from itching, but if I had used a high perfume shower gel, then it would have triggered it off again. I would highly recommend Carex if you suffer from the same situation. It would be ok to use on the children as well, as it's for sensitive skins.
