Advantages: Lots of foam, smells great, moisturises well

Disadvantages: Can be a bit expensive for a shower gel

I have to admit I'm a bit of a shower gel junkie and I'm always on the lookout for bargains when I'm out shopping. I spotted a travel size of this shower gel while looking for small versions of my normal bathroom products in preparation for a weekend away. I was taking hand baggage only and with the restrictions on liquids being no more than 100ml I needed to find alternatives.

This comes in a neat little 75ml aluminium canister which is recyclable and also apparently rust proof so no brown marks on the bathroom tiles if you leave it under the shower! It promises approx 15 washes which is more than enough for what I needed for a few days away.

The canister is a nice purple colour, the gel is designed from a shaving foam type top. The gel reminds me very much of shaving gel as once you squirt it out into your hands it magically transforms into this ball of luxurious foam that fizzes away in your hand. I can see why you would get 15 washes out of such a little can as you only need a small amount to start with and as it expands, it pretty much doubles in volume.

The foam feels like it's full of conditioners, it's rich and creamy and even under the shower it works well into your skin leaving your skin feeling pampered and smooth. The fragrance is quite sweet, definitely one I'll be keeping to myself as it's a bit too girly for the other half to use. The scent lingers on your skin for quite a while afterwards and it really helps moisturise your skin, I didn't feel like I needed to use any body lotion at all afterwards.

This normally comes in a 200ml canister and I think that this would last most people quite a long time, even those of us that use a ton of the stuff in the shower. The normal retail price is around £2.50 which seems a nit expensive but like I say, this will last a decent amount of time and it really feels like a nice pampering treat, it's always worth keeping an eye open in the pound shops or when there are any promotions on as it's a bit more than I would usually be prepared to pay for a shower gel. My little can only cost £1.00 from ASDA where they have a selection of miniatures on sale at 3 for £3.00.

One of the only downsides to this is the packaging, it looks great but there is always a little bit left at the bottom of the tin that you can't get out as it's a pressurised container and you can't refill it like you can normal bottles. Having said that it's claims to be an Ultimate Shower experience aren't too far short, definitely one I would recommend to those who want a little luxury in the bathroom.

Summary: Look out for the offers.
