I first came across Imperial Leather Handwash whilst staying with relatives in Weymouth. When one uses a bathing soap the things you would expect was that it produce a reasonable lather, have a pleasant aroma and produce the desired cleaning effects. Ah, Imperial Leather Soap, a blast from the past that is still with us! Cussons are in fact the makers of this long established luxurious bathing product, as well as many other Imperial Leather products, such as bath gel. Cussons Imperial Leather is one of those brands that has been around for years, it was my Grandma's favourite, yes it is an oldie but goodie! If I think Imperial Leather I think Luxury and I see images of women laying in a bath for hours soaking away, so yes, I may have been watching too many of the adverts and buying into the associated lifestyle!
