I first came across Imperial Leather Handwash whilst staying with relatives in Weymouth. There is a fabulous shop in Weymouth, and in many other parts of England, called Wilkinsons - we don't have one near us yet and I was advised by my sister-in-law to take a look as there are so many well known toiletries etc being sold at considerably lower prices than in the mainstream supermarkets etc. It was whilst browsing through the Aladdin's Cave of toiletries that I spotted the Imperial Leather Handwash - I had initially only been looking for a bar of Dove, but saw this handwash for 99p and decided to buy some to keep by the sink in my kitchen. ... When one uses a bathing soap the things you would expect was that it produce a reasonable lather, have a pleasant aroma and produce the desired cleaning effects. With Imperial Leather soap you get all of these in abundance and this is what makes it such a high quality and reassuring soap. You might say that all soaps are similar in that they all lather and have the required cleaning effect. However with Imperial Leather they have taken it into a different dimension. I first used Imperial Leather Soap a long time ago, probably when I was in my teens and during that period of my life I was never really bothered about the brand and just used ... Well I never thought I'd write an opinion about a toiletry product, but this one's literally got my bunghole foaming - and that's the one in my bath in case you weren't sure. Gentlemen please listen up, as next time you reach for a randomly-selected bottle of macho-looking shower gel in the supermarket, you will do yourself a big favour by taking heed of this op. And ladies (or gay partners where applicable), this product is a must-have Christmas stocking filler for your man. When it comes to traditional bathtime freshness, Imperial Leather wrote the book. Their infamous bar of creamy soap, with its omnipotent bronze label, is a ... Read the complete review

Ah, Imperial Leather Soap, a blast from the past that is still with us! Cussons are in fact the makers of this long established luxurious bathing product, as well as many other Imperial Leather products, such as bath gel. Who can remember the adverts, where the tsar of Russia refused to leave their bath when the revolution reached their palace! The famous line, the peasants are revolting, was a national joke, and one befitting of any carry on movie. It may seem strange to some people why a 6ft contemptuous tattooed man is writing about such trivialities as soap, however, some of you may already know it is in direct response to ... Cussons Imperial Leather is one of those brands that has been around for years, it was my Grandma's favourite, yes it is an oldie but goodie! If I think Imperial Leather I think Luxury and I see images of women laying in a bath for hours soaking away, so yes, I may have been watching too many of the adverts and buying into the associated lifestyle! However, I have been using Imperial leather Shower Gel for the last 4 or 5 years and although no relaxing bath in sight, it remains a firm favourite. There are many different Imperial Leather shower gels. The two that I have taken the greatest liking to being the Silk and Moisture Delux ones as they ... Read the complete review
