“ Brand: Decleor / Type: Concentrate / What it does: destresses „
I am a big fan of Decleor skincare so when I found that my usual body moisturisers were not working, this was the brand I turned to.
This is a dry body oil - one in a range that Decleor sell and is the relaxing body concentrate. I chose this one because it also said it would immediately create a sensation of deep relaxation as well as nurture the skin.
Decleor primarily use plant fruit and but oils in their products and choose only the finest quality, which is apparent when you use their products. This particular product contains 100% essential oils and they have used Hazelnut , Meadow Foam , Sandalwood, Encense, Myrrh, Néroli, Petit Grain, Tonka Bean, Lavender and Patchouli
This is a concentrated oil that comes in a glass bottle so a couple of pumps will deliver about the size of a 10p and will do half my arm . I have dry skin and when I first started using this I used twice the normal quantity as my skin was really dehydrated as I had been quite ill and had affected my skin really badly. I simply massage into the skin and find the oil absorbs very quickly leaving my skin feeling really soft with just a fine sheen on it. Not a hint of greasiness, which I find amazing given this is 100% oil.
This is a beautiful body oil that really helped improve the look and feel of my skin which when I first used it was extremely dry ,crepey and flaky especially on my arms and legs.
The smell is divine a perfect combination of scented oils that leaves a subtle very natural soft scent . Of the ingredients I only know what lavender smells like but this mix is beautiful and I love the way my skin smells after I have used this. It is very relaxing and is a wonderful product to use just before you go to bed , as it is very comforting to the skin and helps me wind down.
Would I recommend ?
A big thumbs up from me as it really helped improve my skin and after a couple of weeks it had stopped the flakiness and my skin was back to normal. It is quick and easy to apply and absorbs very rapidly. It did not irritate my skin which is sensitive plus I have psoriasis which is very sore at times.
I was very worried that I would use this up in a few days, given that it is so expensive but it really lasts a long time as it is so concentrated. I also combine this with my body moisturiser to make it last even longer a tip I picked up after watching a Decleor show on QVC.
I adore the smell which lingers a long time and I love the feel of my skin after I have used it.
My only negative is the price which is normally £43 for 100ml. I usually buy when I can get a discount or look at some of the gift sets that are usually better value . I buy from HQ Hair , Feel Unique or Look Fantastic online when they send me a voucher and via a cashback site, so usually get around 25% off.
I have had one on the go for about 12 months and it hasn't deteriorated. Hard to say how long this will last as it depends on how often you use it and how dry your skin is. I seem to use this mostly on my arms and legs in Summer or when my skin feels really parched so I don't use it on a daily basis , but I think there must be a good few months in a 100ml bottle.
My one concern is that this is hard to get hold of now, so I hope they haven't discontinued this.
Decleor make wonderful complex oils and this one is one of my favourites.
Yes they are expensive but searching around can find a bargain. Also it lasts so long I have had mine for over a year using it every day!
I particularly like the method of application which is in a spray form great when applying to the body.
But it's the aroma that's divine it transports me to a relaxing spa environment and I feel very indulgent using this oil.
It glides onto the skin with the warmth of your hands expanding the oils to release their aroma's across the skin and then it sinks in giving your skin a wonderful silky texture.
I like to use this under another moisturiser for a deeply moisturising effect on very dry areas but as I love the scent I also use just for this smell often last thing at night as the aroma is so relaxing.
