Advantages: lifts and removes debris from the mouth
Disadvantages: Ugh. Sink of icky purple stained goo!
One major advantage of this mouth wash is that it's alcohol free. This is good for your teeth, because it doesn't dry your mouth out. 90% of all other mouth washes I've found have been strongly alcohol based, which limits my choice considerably.
Available in twoflavours - mint and clove - the first thing you're probably going to notice is the fact that it looks like an oil and water mix. The clove flavour is neon pink and blue, with a slight glittery look to it. The mint is dark and light green. You mix them together before use, and they come out purple or pastelly green, respectively.
When I first bought one, the only flavour available was clove. Took it home and tried it out. Mix it to purple, swish it around a bit, spit it out ... I looked down into the sink and it was full of purple sqishy bits! Gross!! If you read the leaflet, it says it "lifts and removes" debris from your mouth. Yum.
I have to admit, I wasn't too keen on the taste of the clove one. The bf loves it. But I tried out the mint and that's much more my taste. Plus the removed debris, which in fairness, could have come out a disgusting bright green, had they not been careful, is a lot less obvious. I consider this a great improvement.
At nearly 4 pound a bottle (from Superdrug or Sainsburys - not seen it elsewhere, but it's probably available from chemists and Boots) it's a bit steep, but it's certainly worth a try if you have dodgy teeth (like me) or want a nice, effective breath cleaner. Plus I've heard it talked about and recommended by various people, including a representative from the dental association.
