Advantages: white teeth, plaque is removed, fresher breath
Disadvantages: expensive
DENTYL PH MOUTHWASH IN MINT I think that most of us find that how our teeth look and feel is important these days. I also think that most of us would like to have the peace of mind that our breath does not smell bad, either! Mouth hygiene is very important and although mouthwash isn't the most essential part, it helps to get the final sparkle in your teeth! Cleaner teeth also help prevent gingivitis which I have had and I can tell you it is painful and I had to use this awful mouthwash that almost destroyed my tastebuds! Ever since I wore brace a few years ago, I have always taken extra care for my teeth. I did not want all the good work and pain I went through to be in vain (believe me there were tears, especially after the awful operation I had to remove four teeth from my gums), as the orthodontist really did make my teeth nice and straight. Whilst looking in a magazine (top sante), I saw an advert for Dentyl PH mouthwash. It claimed to even show the bits of plaque that you spit out! No other mouthwash has the formula for it so I was really keen to give it a try. You can buy the mouthwash in many stores, although I bought mine in Boots. There are two flavours - mint and clove. I can't think of anything worse than clove, so I bought the mint one. It isn't the cheapest of mouthwashes - around £3.99 for a bottle. The bottle is fairly large, so I suppose it is worth the money. So - using it! It is just like any other mouthwash although it has two layers, the mouthwash bit and an oily bit - it looks a bit like oil and vinegar in the same bottle although they are in bright colours! You are supposed to rinse your mouth for 30 seconds then gargle for 30 seconds. If anyone can gargle for 30 seconds on top of rinsing without choking or needing to swallow quickly tell me because I found it extremely difficult! You then spit it out into the sink. Wow! You can see the plaque although it has been stained bright gree
n. My teeth felt clean and looked nice and white. I'm hooked now! The advantages of the mouthwash are that it has a formula that no other mouthwash has. It lifts and dyes the plaque off your teeth and you can see it when you spit out. Lots of dentists recommend this one and I have seen it for sale in my local dentist. I think it is important to look after your teeth and this has certainly become part of my daily regime. There is also matching toothpaste and tongue scraper in the range, which I have not yet tried but will update you on. The disadvantage of this mouthwash is that it is expensive to buy. It certainly adds up when you regularly use it and buy it with every shop. I don't mind spending the extra but I hope the price goes down soon, before I have to sacrifice something else for it! My personal overall opinion of this mouthwash is that it is the best mouthwash I have ever tried. I have tried many different brands, from listerine (which is also fairly good), to corsodyl (for gingivitis) to shops own brands and it is very good. It really does work and does all that it claims to do in the adverts and bottles. It shows in this case that you get what you pay for and is now a major part of my daily regime. I think that anyone who wants lovely looking teeth should buy it! It may be expensive and therefore unable to be bought all the time, but worth it. I think that even if you used it every other day it would take off plaque build up. We survived before it came along, but once you have it, you won't want to live without it!

- 23/04/02 How gullible can you get .. well well . your opinion is well worth a read but unfortunately the same cannot be said of dentyl ph . Pls see my posting on various mouthwashes inside listerine . Dentyl ph is a oil phase mouthwash and bacteria is dissolved readily . plaque sticks to your teeth and can be removed only by brushing or by using hydrofloss . i'll post some on this wonderful instrument later . BTW dentylph does not offer any protection at all .
As far as gargle is concerned i can do for 90 sec . It's easy .. switsh for a while , gargle ..swish again and then gargle sticking your tongue out .. give your mouth some rest with the mouthwash inside .. and repeat . |
