I know that I can trust Dermalogica to look after and care for my skin and I'm a regular user of many of their skin care products. Before my summer holiday this year, I treated myself to some sun protection from Dermalogica for my boyfriend and I to share.
Sun cream is not something I enjoy applying and hate the greasy feeling that usually accompanies it, coupled with the annoyance of it mixing with sand and getting everywhere! A spray product is much easier for me to apply and a feature I prefer my sun cream to have.

I bought my bottle from a drug store in Las Vegas as they had a sale on. I paid $29.00 when it should have been $34.00. In pounds I paid around £21.00. The sun screen range is widely available online.
The bottle comes in a 125ml size. It is easy to dispense and the spray button is easy to push. The little lid did not last very long on the bottle though and easily comes off and gets lost; not great for storing in the suitcase, so I put it in a carrier bag before packing in order to avoid any leaking ruining my clothes. Thankfully it didn't leak at all!
The spray liquid is so fine that it is hard to believe that it is s factor 30! It hardly feels like there is anything on the skin. The protection offered from such gentle invisible liquid is surprising and it is a welcome relief not having to wait to dry, or wait till it soaks in. I despise that uncomfortable sticky feeling that sun cream gives.
The sun spray contains all the protection you need from the harmful UVA and UVB rays. This protects you from signs of aging, skin cancer and sun burn. Obviously this is the main point of a sun screen, however Dermalogica have put in some extra ingredients to really help the condition of your skin. Dermalogica are famous for using natural botanical ingredients and this is no exception. There put in extra vitamin a, e and c to care for the skin and keep it nourished and hydrated. The product also contains organic silicones to condition and care for the skin whilst it is out in the elements.
I think the first few times I applied this, I used a little bit too much as it was much more lightweight than I anticipated. After a few days of the holiday I began to trust the lotion and knew my limits and when to reapply.
I applied the product as directed; which involves putting it on 30 minutes before sun exposure. It also needs reapplying after swimming or exercising but on the whole it is water resistant and I felt equally protected in or out of the pool.
I tended to reapply every hour or so and put extra on my face, as I certainly do not want sun damage here. The liquid is so easy to apply, I just gave acouple of quick pumps on the spray to cover my face and neck and I did not even have to bother rubbing it in!
In fact, on the whole the product needs minimal rubbing in as it soaks straight into the skin. My boyfriend loved using this product as he also hates applying cream! He often suffers from a prickly heat rash that is caused by sun cream blocking his pores, however this lightweight cream protected his skin while letting it breathe.
The bottle disappeared pretty quick and was used up on our weeks holiday. It was a luxury item spending so much money on a sun cream, but my skin was smooth, subtle and hydrated along with being reassuringly protected from the suns elements.
I'd buy this product again, it has a fantastic summery scent to it and it made my skin feel wonderful. Plus, I did not have sun burn once!
