Advantages: Keeps me dry, not too expensive, doesn't seem to leave marks
Disadvantages: Can sometimes take a while to dry if you've applied a lot, not too keen on the packaging
I don't have particularly sensitive skin in general, but for some reason I often find that my armpits react badly to some antiperspirants. Because of that, I like to opt for deodorants that are specifically formulated for sensitive skin whenever possible. I've used Sanex products in the past without a problem so I chose this one as my latest deodorant.
***The Packaging***
I normally bypass discussions about packaging as you can usually see it fairly clearly in the product image. I'm going to mention it here though as it's not immediately clear in the product image how this deodorant should be opened.
The deodorant stick itself is actually upside down in the clear bottom half of the packaging. To open, you only need to gently pull on the top half. However, when you're replacing the deodorant in this upside down lid, you need to slide it back in and turn it slightly to the left so that it 'clicks' into place and won't fall out if it's tipped upside down. This is simple but clever, as I imagine it would be incredibly easy for the 'lid' to be as good as useless otherwise.
One thing I'm not keen on is the upside down nature. Because the deodorant is essentially upside down itself when not in use, I find that it drips down into the lid. I've decided that this must be excess deodorant that's been 'rolled' to the ball of the deodorant and is dripping down once the cap has been replaced. For this reason, I'd prefer that there was an option to store it the 'right' way up but this isn't possible as the top is round and only the bottom is flat enough to act as a stand.
***What is the deodorant like?***
This is a roll-on deodorant. It's a whitish shade in colour, so I was worried that it would leave a stain on my clothes, especially as it isn't marketed as one of those that doesn't. Once the deodorant is dry, this doesn't seem to be the case but you do have to be careful not to let it get anywhere near your clothes while it's drying as it does seem to leave marks then.
On average, it takes anything from two to five minutes to fully dry depending on how much has been applied. There is a fresh, clean scent to it which isn't overly strong so it shouldn't clash with perfume or body spray.
Results-wise, it keeps me dry for most of the day. Like many antiperspirants these days, it claims to offer 24 hour protection. I'm not sure that this is really the case with any deodorant - and this one is not exception there - but it's been better than most.
***Will I buy it again?***
I've been pretty impressed with this deodorant in general. It doesn't cause any irritation to my underarms (unless it's used after shaving and that's to be expected!), keeps me dry for the majority of the day and doesn't leave any dreaded white marks. It's also fairly good value at £1.69 for 50ml (from Boots, so you may be able to get it cheaper elsewhere). I've seen this in my local Poundland so I'll most probably be getting my replacement from there when it runs out. All in all, I'm really happy with this deodorant and I'll definitely be buying it again.
Summary: Pretty impressive
