Advantages: Does the job, nice bottle

Disadvantages: too strong alchoholic smell and too liquidy consistancy

Dettol Hand Sanitizer is a gel type sanitizer to clean your hands and the germs on them in a small bottle for convenience and for use anytime. Kills 99.9% of germs.

+++BOTTLE DESIGN+++
The design is a long round shaped transparent bottle, and has a protective cap, and uses squeeze mechanism opposed to a nozzle, which I dislike due to the consistancy of the sanitizer, although squeeze ones are easier to use when there is little sanitizer left.

I like the design overall, as the size is not too tall and it is easy to fit into a pocket or a bag and does not spill easily due to the strong cap, yet not too difficult to open.

+++TEXTURE+++
The consistancy of the gel is rather too liquidy for me although it does evaporate rather quickly but i would prefer it more to be a gel than a kind of lotion/bath gel consistancy.

However, given its consistancy it does not stick or leave any sort of residue, and it should be commended for this as you really don't feel it at all afterwards, yet get a clean hand feeling.

+++SMELL+++
The smell is also another problem. The label says it is aloe vera, but the smell of alchohol is much too strong that I cannot smell aloe vera. I purchased the aloe vera smell so that I don't get the alchohol and I am rather disappointed in this aspect.

It is not a totally bad thing, as other sanitizers might be heavily fragranced but I am the sort of person who likes the fragrance so this sanitizer was a bit disappointing.

Around £1 which is typical price for all hand sanitizers of this volume.

+++OVERALL+++
I found that it gave your hands a clean and fresh feeling after using them, and are slightly moisturizing too. I don't like using these too often but they are very convenient and does the job well.

I wouldn't recommend this compared to other sanitizers on the market, my personal favourite is the Carex Aloe Vera Hand Gel, not only does it do the job but has a really nice smell too!

Summary: i would choose others on the market
