Advantages: good protection, nice smell

When I like a product, I find that I usually stick to using it as I am quite fussy and so if something works why change it. This is the same for me when it comes to antiperspirants. I have tried a lot, I used to use the spray kind but I just don't find they do anything for me and just come off on dark clothes. I then went on to try the prescribed deodorants that are clear stick ones as I used to sweat quite a bit but ever since growing out of my teens it has lessened so now I have gone to use a normal antiperspirant, Dove to be exact.
The packaging of the Dove Cream Antiperspirant is pretty standard as it is just like every other Dove product; it is white with a blue lid. The Dove products do stand out because they all link in terms of brand packaging but they are classy looking if being a little bit too simple. The Dove logo is clear on the front with the metallic bird emblem; it states on the front that it gives 24 hour protection. The small flat like tube curves in slightly almost like a waist so is easy enough to hold. On the back all of the ingredients are stated.
It is a 40ml tube and is very easy to use as well. The tube being rectangular has a twist bottom so basically you just turn it to the right as the arrow points and then the cream stick will rise up so that when you go to use it some of the stick is up to apply to the skin.
So, when opening the lid the smell is hard to describe but rises instantly, it smells clean and fresh a bit floral sort of like a musk I suppose is what I'd describe it as. It is not given a scent but the front says that it is Original so I am guessing the scent is the usual Dove scent as applied to their body washes etc.
To put the product to use, I will take off the lid and twist the stick so that it is showing enough that I know it is going to be applied properly. I usually just roll it down twice under my arm and then get on with my day. I apply it in the morning and reapply if I feel a bit hot or sweaty but usually if at work this isn't always possible.
I usually will put the deodorant on in the morning then will set off to work. I work in a building which does sometimes get busy and hot but the good thing is with Dove whenever I start to slightly get hot and maybe a little bit sweaty I can smell the deodorant which is the clean, fresh smell so I never get paranoid about lifting up my arms and smelling that horrible scent of body odour which makes me feel ill.
My armpits never usually feel wet with this on not that I sweat a lot anyway but it just keeps me feeling dry and less paranoid about having sweat patches. The smell is nice and at least you know the product works if you can smell it.
Dove do a big range deodorants from roll-ons, to sprays, to sticks. In terms of the stick there are a few different variations there is the Maximum Protection stick offering 48 hours protection, Original Cream for sensitive skin to keep you dry then there's the Silk Dry Stick, The Invisible Dry Stick to stop white marks and the Original which I'm using.
The Dove Original Stick can be purchased at all supermarkets as well as places like Boots and Superdrug. I usually buy mine at any supermarket I'm near as you are more likely to find deals. The retail price for this 40ml product is £1.73 which isn't bad considering it lasts a good few months for me after purchase.
As for the product giving protection for 24 hours, I'd probably say that it is a slight exaggeration for a normal working person. I apply it when I go to work and if I come in to then go out again I will apply it before because it starts to feel a bit sticky and it needs refreshed. Applying before a night out it'll usually last the whole night after that which is ok, so I'd say it is more likely 12 hour protection.
