There are many different deodorant products on the markets these days, therefore hard for us all to decide which is best. For a while now, I have been a dedicated user of dove products. This is mainly due to the smell of the product, it smells almost soapy and I associate that with being clean, therefore this product is what I chose to keep my fresh under the arms.

Of course, it's not as simple as just going out and buying that dove deodorant is it? No, they also have many different ranges of product to choose from. These include different scents, styles such as roll on, stick application; spray...the list goes on. So which one did I go for this time round? Well, I thought I'd stay nice and simple and choose the original deodorant stick; this means I can't go wrong right?? Exactly.

The stick is approx 4 /5 inches tall and is in a blue and white casing as it were. It shows the dove logo off well and tells me what it is. For those that don't know, a deodorant stick is a solid deodorant which is wiped on the underarm once or twice. It feels almost as if you are wiping a bar of soap under your arms, but not in an unpleasant way. The scent is noticeable straight away, I like this as I love the smell of dove products.

The front of the applicator also states that it contains no alcohol and that it lasts 24 hours. Today I decided to see how this fits that description.
So, I started work at 11.30 therefore applied this at about 10am this morning whilst getting ready, went on well, I smelt nice. Had a break at 5pm, had a bit of a sniff and it held out well, not as strong, but I smelt fine. I got home at 10.30pm and I still was fresh and it is now 1am and I'm still okay, but would feel more comfortable to apply some more. I think this did well for a deodorant, especially for this amount of hours, though I do feel it would not last 24 hours, especially if you are really active.

This product comes in 40ml and will last quite a long time, certainly longer than deodorant sprays. This is available from most supermarkets and places like boots etc and costs around £2, usually less.

Summary: great underarm protection
