These can be gotten on eBay and in other shops too, any major supermarkets and most shops will have them. On eBay you can get 2 bars for £1.97 and one bar for £1.00...more

Premium Review Dove Beauty Cream Bar: Lather Me Up (745 words)

Dove, as a beauty brand, has become synonymous with promoting “real” beauty. Their advertising campaigns have moved away from using commercial models with perfect skins (well, at least perfect skins after the computer has airbrushed them) and flowing locks to ads which use the woman in the street, lumps, bumps and all. So, with this different approach to beauty are the products any different? I first tried Dove’s beauty cream bar at my mum’s. Not known for her adventurous taste I was intrigued when I visited and found a white bar of soap in place of the usual Imperial Leather bars that have been used for years. A sniff of the bar told me that it hadn’t ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Luxury is Dove.... (673 words)

There are some products that are must have essentials. For me this is one of them. I recently read a review on what ten things could you not live without and this is actually way at the top of my list! It's something I use more often than not, and you can keep alot of your expensive soaps even Lush soaps, in the long run for this! I, like you who are probably reading this love all sorts of soaps but at the end of the day it's nice to pick something up that you trust and you know it wont be too highly fragranced, or make skin greasy or dry or leave skin covered in a talc like residue. I don't know even though it's cheap I still equate this to luxury and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dove Beauty Cream Bar: A brand with a healthy messege attached to it (840 words)

PACKAGING This comes in a lovely little cardboard box which is also recyclable, on the front you will see the dove signature written in blue and an image of a gold Dove below it. On the back there is a very long list of all the different places in the world where this is made and the required numbers for if you want to contact them. Then theres a big list of ingredients too, the ingredients and contact numbers are all listed on the back of the box. Dove manages to use very little coloring and still make a very fancy looking box. Ordinarily a plain white box with blue on it would not attract my attention but the little gold dove and the picture at ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A great beauty regime all on it's own (614 words)

I'm not one for cleansing toning and moisturising my skin religiously, I'm more a soap and water girl myself, but I do find ordinary soap dries out my skin. For several years now, I've used Dove beauty cream bar to wash my face, morning and night, and I don't like to use anything else. One of the main advertising hooks is that Dove cream bar is made with one quarter moisturiser, and their website says this is blended with the most gentle of cleansers. I certainly find it gentle, and creamy. I have sensitive skin that easily flares up at anything too heavily perfumed, but I can use the normal Dove bar with no ill effects, although I have used the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dove Beauty Cream Bar: A LITTLE GEM IN A BOX!! (693 words)

I am always on the look out for a bargain, but I have to admit that when it comes to soap, I have become a creature of habit. I have been buying Dove soap for a number of years and I have never been tempted to try a different brand. Dove Beauty Cream Bar as it is now known is manufactured by Unilever who own the Dove trademark and brand name. Dove soap has been around in the USA since 1955. It was not until 1979, when a senior dermatologist in Pennsylvania proved that dove soap caused a lot less dry and irritated skin than any other soap on the market, that Dove soap really captured the market. By 2003 dove had won 24% of the world ...  Read the complete review
