Advantages: long life not over powering but strong smell
Disadvantages: probably doesnt smell green tea as much as the cucumber is definately the dominant scent
Hmmm dove. usually one of the best feeling anti-perspirant/deodorant's I've probably ever tested.
I used to use the original dove deodorant when it first came out, and it really never let me down, either roll on or spray.
To put it mildly I'm at a convention in a couple of weeks, and as most women know, mixing scents can be a catastrophe. I didn't want to walk round the NEC smelling like I just came out of a vat of broken scents from the perfume factory, either did I want to be carrying round some bottle of cologne which for certain periods of the day would waft off and the feeling of being stinky come over me.
That's when I saw the advert for the Dove go fresh range on the TV, advertising its 24hr longevity and beautiful scents..... well that sent me straight to Tesco's for a look (and sniff!)
First of all I really do have to point out how different the bottles are. The roll on (as pointed out by another reviewer) has a rounded bottom prompting a more stable standing on its lid, which is the most sensible idea for roll ons. The spray bottles are rather unique too with a slender shapely bottle and rather uniquely shaped spray head with a 'soft spot' on the top that triggers the spray. *warning for parents - the spray bottle top is rather small and round and can be a choking hazard*
I love the smell of the cucumber and green tea. It is most definitely a cucumber clean 'smell' with a hint of green tea which really really made me feel soft, clean and protected. As a testament to its longevity, in rather a gruesome manor (excuse me!) I did apply this one morning in the usual places, spent the day doing rather strenuous activities (including a 80 min wiifit plus work out) plus other things. The next morning I was running my morning bath and realised as I lifted my arms that I still smelled like cucumber! I felt really drowsily secure that I wouldn't be a stink bomb at the convention!
Tesco sell the spray product at £1.98 for 150ml and £3.10 for 250ml bottles. I have seen the roll on there, but cant find the price, but Amazon.co.uk has it for £4.82 for 50ml roll on which seems rather extortionate, so I suggest trying Superdrug or Boots!
Summary: Long life persperant for women on the go

- 04/11/09 A good review, but a few typos/spelling mistakes - I find it helps to write reviews in Word first :o) |
