Dove Silk Glow Body Lotion

I actually got this as part of a gift set, so I'm afraid I can't tell you how much it was or where it was bought from. I hadn't used any Dove products before, so was keen to give it a try and see if it lived up to the promise of the Dove adverts for silky soft skin. I don't have very dry skin, but some dry patches such as knees, elbows and so on, so I was slightly worried that this might me skin too 'greasy' or be hard to rub in, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I received my Dove Silk Glow Body lotion for Christmas as it was part of a Dove Gift Set. I am a big fan of Dove products and always use Dove Soap, deodorant etc so I was keen to try this out. It comes in a plastic bottle with handy flip-top lid. The size is 250ml. On the front of the bottle it tells me that Silk Glow body lotion will give my skin a silky glow, with soft light reflecting particles. You either love this Dove cream or hate it - i'm in 2 minds. Texture: It's a little too watery for my liking but saying that, it makes it easier to smooth on. A also a little goes a long way. However, it was only after I'd smoothed this onto my skin, stepped into the light that I noticed the shimmering tiny little glitter bits all over my skin (aah, hence the "glow" in silk glow!). I received a Dove Indulgent Silk gift set for Christmas and this was one of the items within the box. I did not use it for a couple of months as I had other moisturisers that I thought were nicer then one night at my fiancés I was caught without my regular wash bag and this was in my side of the toiletry cupboard so I thought I would give it a whirl. The bottle is cream in colour with lots of gold parts and it has a good shape which is slimmer towards the bottom making it very easy to hold. I have never really been one for Dove products until I was given a gift set for Christmas last year. I contained some bath and shower creme and this Silk Glow body lotion. I used body lotion a lot and although I would use it, it just went in the cupboard. Another 'useful' present! I got it out to start using it this week and love it. I thought it was going to be just a body lotion, a good quality one but nothing special about it. Until I started using it. The lotion itself is white with a pearly look to it.
