Dove is one of my more trusted brands. I associate it with quality and good results, having been a regular user of the Dove shower cream, which always left my skin feeling silky and youthful. I had to keep stroking myself afterwards, it felt that smooth!

The soap:

It comes in a normal soap sized bar, is white in colour and appears to have a very slight smell about it. It is not clinical and to me smelt more of talc or just 'clean bathrooms'. The packaging is straight foward enough and easy to unwrap. No excessive waste and easy to dispense of.

The test:

I am quite a hygiene freak and wash my hands many times during the day so I need a soap which is not going to dry my hands out, especially in winter. After repeated use for a few days I was left pleased with the results.

* Hands were left smooth feeling, no sign of dryness

* The soap always lathers up well and washes off nicely

* A pleasant smell lingers for a few minutes after

Overall:

At about a pound a bar, or in some larger supermarkets, under that, I think this is a good buy. It lasts a good two months if used everyday. It lathers superbly, it does keep skin moisturised and could possibly be used for bodily use too. I recommend it!
