Dove Soap

Over the years I have tried all different types of soaps and shower gels but my favourite and the one I buy most constituently is Dove soap. It smells great and leaves the skin feeling really nice.

What is Dove?

Dove soap is a personal cleaning product owned by the unilever company. According to their website the soap is primarily made up of synthetic surfactants and some vegetable based soap ingredients. Dove is formulated to have a neutral pH which is one of the reasons its so user friendly in any sensitive areas.

Where to buy and cost?

Dove soap is widely available and can be found in most chemists and high street beauty shops such as boots, semi chem. Etc. It can also of course be bought in the supermarkets and currently a bar of dove cream soap will set you back 53pence for a 100 gram bar.

My experience

I have been using this product regularly for the past five years and I find it to be extremely good. Its smells great. I have a small bathroom and the smell of this soap is so good the smell of a fresh bar can sometimes fill up by bathroom. So much so I have had guest comment on how nice my bathroom smells only to later discover the only air fresher in the bathroom is a new bar of this soap. Soap often has a drying out effect on the skin however this soap is different as it moisturise as it goes along leaving the skin feeling fresher and smoother. The only downside to this soap is that its so nice you'll use a lot more of that you would a normal bar of soap. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone.
