Advantages: Sinks in to skin well, leaves me with smooth, soft skin.

Disadvantages: Doesn't smell too nice.

As summer is looming I am once again trying to achieve a slight tan without frying myself on a sun bed or being out in the sun for too long.

Dove Summer Glow Body lotion is designed to be used everyday as you would a normal body lotion whilst helping you to build a gradual tan. It comes provided in a plastic bottle with a flip top lid and to dispense the lotion you simply give the bottle a good squeeze and then apply the body lotion wherever you want the desired effect. As soon as you have finished applying the lotion it's best to wash and dry your hands immediately to prevent them from getting that tell-tale 'fake tan' look. The body lotion doesn't smell too bad considering it contains fake tan and it did make my skin feel lovely, soft & smooth. The lotion is simple to apply and soaks in easily, it doesn't leave a greasy film on my skin or a horrible scent behind.

After a few days of using this lotion I did find that my skin was taking on a tanned looking glow & I used the fair-medium skin version and this suited my paler skin tone fantastically and as my tan was building up it did suit me, there were no patchy marks or darker patches and I think this is mainly because I exfoliated everyday before using this product & this is what I would thoroughly recommend doing for anyone who wants to use this product.

A 250ml body lotion is available from Boots stores or www.boots.co.uk for £4.88 but this is frequently on special offer in various stores so keep your eyes peeled if you want to try this out.

I will be continuing to use this body lotion and every 4 days or so I have been having a break of a couple of days and using a normal dove body lotion just to ensure that my tan doesn't get too ridiculous or dark. I really enjoy using the product as it's very simple to use, doesn't smell overpowering, applies & soaks in well and leaves me with nice skin. I would definitely recommend it and I am rating it 4/5.
