I got given a set of Dove products at Xmas and recently used the moisturising bodywash. Mine is a small bottle, about 15ml I think and I have no idea of the price as I haven't checked it with it being a gift! The product smells like most other dove products I've tried, kind of floral and the smell is quite heavy but nice too. The bodywash is thick, it's not runny but you don't need much, just apply a small amount to a sponge or in my case an exfoliating glove and it will lather up so well you can wash your whole body with just this amount. It feels very smooth going on and after I'd rinsed, this took a bit of doing as the product lathers so ... Read the complete review

I seem to have developed a condition which I'll call "dandruff of the body". Seriously, my skin is really very dry, and lately I've found that its gotten so bad that flakes of skin seem to appear everywhere on my clothes - just like dandruff. Problem is, I know I could allay this very easily, but I just hate using body lotions. They're either greasy or smelly or too medicinal for my taste, so I've never gotten into the habit of using them. I can never remember to use them, nor find the time to use them. You see, I've got a very busy life - as it is, I've found I have to carry my makeup with me to work since I don't always have a chance to put my face on at ... Read the complete review

Having suffered from extremely sensitive skin for a number of years and living in a hard water area which made it substantially worse it became apparent that I needed to combat this problem in some way. Probably like most men when buying shower foam/body wash I failed to look in detail at what the various products contained and their effect upon my skin. When making my purchasing decision, I relied heavily on the cost of the product and whether the brand name was known to me and therefore whether it had been heavily advertised. Certain brands were associated in my mind with female products and certain brands more with male products. This subconscious divide was crossed ... Read the complete review

My daughter suffers from eczema, and I get dry skin quite often as well, so we try lots of these moisturising bath products. Usually I prefer the Oil of Olay body wash, but Dove is nearly tied with them in my books as for performance and value. Made by Lever Brothers and manufactured in Germany, Dove body wash contains lipids which are made to mimic natural skin oils to help your skin absorb them without being all greasy or feeling "oiled". It is also very gentle, which is probably why it was one of the washes recommended by our GP to try on our year old daughter. It is lightly scented, smelling vaguely like baby powder, so in some sensitive people, it ... Read the complete review

Dove. Strange name for a range of toiletries, but there you go. I suppose it’s got connotations of peace- peaceful and white-pure and wings-floating or some such semiotics. Anyway, the stuff is absolutely wonderful and that’s what counts. As you’ll know from the adverts, Dove products contain one quarter moisturising cream (even the deodorants!) and claim to be just about the best moisturising wash products you can get. I agree. Dove moisturising body wash comes in a 400 ml bottle for which I paid £4 in a local discount store, but I think it retails for a fiver at Boots. If you’re lucky you get a special promotional pack ...
