Advantages: No sweat patches

After having sweat patches under my arms for about 8 years, i decided it was about time i did something about it. Last week i started reading about ways to treat excessive sweating and decided to use/buy an antiperspirant which contained Aluminium Chloride.

4 days ago i popped over to the supermarket and went over to the chemist and asked for an antiperspirant that contained Aluminium Chloride, she then gave me 60ml of Driclor.

Driclor is an antiperspirant, but unlike others, it should be applied last thing at night and washed of in the morning. It works by blocking your sweat glands, so they fill up and then stop producing sweat, due to this you should only use it on a small area of your body, so it can still regulate body temperature.

On applying Driclor for the first time, i got into bed and my armpits started itching, nothing too bad but it took approx 20mins to get to sleep

On waking i wore my thinest T-shirt i owned that always shows my sweat easily and went out in the summer day. after 2 hours (and a feeling the Driclor hadn't worked) i went home to check the damage (if you sweat you know you never check you armpits in public). To my amazement my armpits were as dry as the Sahara.

I have use Driclor every night since. The second night i had no itching but i did have some the third.

I have fair skin which is fairly sensitive, the slight itchiness is worth enduring for a day of sweat free armpits, the option to wear whatever clothes you want and the ability to lift your arms up at the shoulder instead of the elbows!

I dont use any other products on my armpits and only aftershave to scent.

Summary: Driclor stole my sweaty armpits!
