Advantages: Worked in under a week.
Disadvantages: Mild discomfort (for me at least).
I have been suffering from embarassingly sweaty armpits since my early twenties. For some unknown reason (I didn't put weight on and had no other lifestyle changes) around this time, my body temperature took a real hike, I really noticed becoming hot very quickly and would easily sweat. I was fine if outside or in well air conditioned rooms but otherwise I would feel my temperature rise and become really self-concious, making it worse in a vicious circle until I was noticably sweaty.
I lived with this by wearing particular shirts where it didn't notice too much (I was wearing a lot of black...) but it still completely undermined my confidence, particularly at work or in socially pressured situations (eg talking to women...).
About 3 weeks ago, having become THOROUGHLY miserable during the long hot Summer in the UK, I looked up possible cures on the internet and found Driclor (via this site as it goes). Just over a week ago, I plucked up the courage to go into Boots and ask for it (btw, it no longer had to be bought over the counter in my Boots, was on the shelves).
I applied it that night and did feel a stinging sensation from about 20 seconds which has been my experience every night since. This was pretty minor (I should point out I think this is obviously related to your pain threshold, I have several tattoos which I didn't find particularly painful). It is now just over a week later and having had a good couple of days (minor sweating whilst sitting on the beach on Sunday!) I am back in work and am just having my first bone dry day here for as long as I remember. It is such a great feeling, I feel instantly more confident and have got so much done today because I haven't had to hide at my desk due to sweat!
I really do recommend this - I am sure it doesn't work for everyone but its worth a try and I certainly am over the moon.
Thanks
Summary: This product worked well for me in under a week. Very minor side effects.

- 02/08/06 Ben aka God - Good for you.
thingywhatsit, it cost £6 for a small bottle but I understand this lasts for a good couple of months, the advice is mainly not to use it if you have skin issues (eg dry/cracked skin, spots, etc etc).
angusreid - fair point, I think I was just so delighted it worked I concentrated on that rather than the product
vassofbrute - yup! |

- 01/08/06 If it can be bought over the counter, what kind of price tag ? and who do they say should not use it ? |

- 01/08/06 Good story there and very readable but I would prefer to read more about the actual product for it to be considered more useful.
