Advantages: It stopped sweating

Disadvantages: The pain factor.

I'd never had a problem with sweating before until it just started up for no reason one night when I was at a party - horribly embarrasing so I decided to try michum and various other deods and found that nothing could stop the dreaded patches.

After a few months of trying to deny I had anything wrong and ruining a few of my tops with the sweat patches, keeping my arms plastered to my sides all day, being told it was normal by my mum and talking to a couple of my friends about it and getting them to put their hands up for me in class, I decided it was time to do something about it because it was getting slightly rediculous.

I went to Sainsbury's and picked up Driclor because it was small, looked professional & trustworthy and for £5.65 for 20ml you'd expect good results at least, especially seeing as the packaging looked pretty reliable and this kind of expensive-but-small stuff had a good track record for working very well.
I rushed home and dried my armpits with the hairdryer after reading and re-reading the piece of paper that came with it to follow the instructions to make sure that nothing could go wrong and that this stuff could actually stop my embarrasment all together and there would hopefully be no more hiding in toilet cubicals to check if I had patches or not, finding that I in-fact did and then not being able to do anything about it because I was at school and there were people coming in and out all the time.
So I stupidly plastered it on after reading the paper but obviously not properly because after about 10 seconds I was hit with a slight stinging followed by little pins and needles all over my armpits and I wasn't too worried because it wasn't unbareable and I thought it was just working. This was until I was lying in bed and the pain got a million times worse and it felt like someone was skinning my armpits. I ran over to the mirror and saw it was slightly swelled and bright red and the pain was incredible everytime I moved my arms.
I've never had a problem with sensitive or reactive skin before so I refused to wash it off because I thought that this is what it did to everyone.
I don't know how I got to sleep but I did, 2 hours later, and I woke up a few times in the night because I'd lied on my arms in the night.
Anyway, I woke up this morning and I tried to get on with it by going in the shower, washing at the angry rash with soap to try and get the pain to go because I refused to take it off last night and I had to take the day off today due to the fact that I can't move properly and I couldn't dry my hair or get dressed.

I'm not sweating, though. Dry as a bone in fact.

Summary: Great for stopping sweat, bad if you get the pain I did
