Advantages: Keeps you dry, saving embarrassment & discomfort

Disadvantages: It STINGS, especially if you put it on when your underarms are still damp - OUCH

I am a teenager and have had excessive sweating problems for about 2 years now and it's been ruling me and getting me down a lot. Whenever I was in normal temperatures, I would just sweat buckets. Whenever I went out with my friends, to parties or shopping, I would always be really conscious of myself because I knew sooner or later sweat patches would start to appear. And this stopped me from enjoying myself, made me embarrassed and ridiculously limited my wardrobe. My wardrobe consisted of black, and vest tops. Anything else was rarely worn because of my stupid underarm wetness problems.

I finally decided I had to do something about it, so I went to Boots and the pharmacist showed me Driclor.

Driclor is an extra strong anti-perspirant that is used in addition to your normal anti-perspirant deodorant. You apply it at night and wash it off in the morning.

The first time I tried it I was in AGONY!!! The pain was excruciating, it felt like my armpits were on fire, burning and itching. I discovered this was because you have to have bone dry armpits to apply it, otherwise it stings. It hurt so much I washed it off after half an hour and went to bed disappointed.

However, for the next four days, I didn't sweat at all! It was a miracle! It restored my faith in Driclor and instead, this time, I used talc to make sure my underarms were properly dry. BUT it still hurt!!

When I applied it more in the future, it hurt even though I used talc every time. I was sick of the pain and irritation so I ended up washing it off within about an hour. I don't think it's worth it, (plus at some points I still felt kinda damp) so I'm giving up on Driclor I'm afraid to say, and trying another product. :(

Summary: Will work for some people, I'm just sick of the pain so its a no for me
