Advantages: Stops sweating quickly and effectively!
Disadvantages: NONE!! :)
I'm a 14 going on 15 year old boy. I'm quite popular, I enjoy sports, performing and dancing, so when sweating under the arms became a noticable problem for me...it was a BIG problem.
It started about a year and a half ago when I was dancing, rehearsing for a performance. I lifted up my arm to perform a move and I could see my friend looking at me so I asked "What's the matter." She then pointed at my underarm and there was a small speck of sweat. We laughed it off because I thought I had just been too active dancing...I couldn't of been more wrong.
I changed my top and did my performance, however when i got home afterwards, another sweat patch had started. I forgot all about it and went to school the next day. I was standing talking to my friends and I could feel myself getting damper and damper until there was another sweat mark. I quickly put on my blazer so it was covered however this only worsened the situation. It was summer and I was having hot flushes because of my blazer. I then went to the toilet to see how much more i had sweat. OH MY GOD!! The sweat patches had completely taken up ALL of my underarms. So i put on my blazer again and carried on with the rest of the day. When I got home, I took my shirt off and it was so wet, if you squeezed it, it would have dripped.
Being my status in school and my hobbies. This condition put my life on hold. I started quieting down in my group. (This is REALLY unusual because I'm always the loudest.) I started failing in dance because I couldn't do most of the moves because they involved arm lifting. I started to hate going to my favourite lesson...drama...because I was constantly worried about the sweat coming through my flimsy drama top. Around school, I was always having to wear my blazer.
Soon enough, I put this down to anxiety and everyday nevousness at school. Until I was up Milton Keynes, shopping with my friend. I was in McDonalds and I could feel the dampness that I always dreaded. I tried to ignore it but it started dripping down my arm! I was just sweating for no reason what so ever!
I had to start wearing jumpers over my clothes...even in the sweltering heat. At home, I had to constantly wear jumpers or my dressing gown. At my dad's house, I was constantly nervous about my sweating which only worsened the situation. In the end, it eventually came to me having to wear layers of t-shirts...AND IT STILL CAME THROUGH!! It was actually ruining and controlling my life, my hobbies, my social life and my home life. Even on holiday I had to wear jumpers and layers and dark clothes constantly. I just missed my old life and my old clothes.
I eventually found a problem page sight which told me to use Diclor. I then researched it on Google and also found this page. This page reasurred me that I wasn't the only one and that there was a solution. It took me 2 weeks to pluck up the courage to walk into Boots and ask for it. The pharmasist was really nice and went and got it for me. She didn't ask me any questions or anything. (Exactly what I was hoping for haha.) It cost me £5.99 but I was willing to pay anything if it would bring my old life back.
Just before I went to bed, I used Tal-cum powder to dry my underarms and I applied it generously. I allowed it to dry and went to bed. I layed there waiting for this supposed 'burning' what people were talkin about but nothing came. After about 10 minutes, my armpits started tingling. It felt a bit like pins and needles but that was it...nothing too intense. I had no trouble getting to sleep.
I woke up then next morning and washed it off and applied my normal deoderant as usual. After just 1 use, my sweating had completely stopped!! Now, I have my old life back...dancing, acting, playing sports and socialising with everyone.
I owe the quality of my life to Driclor, if it wasn't for Driclor, I would still be depressed. Well worth the money.
Now, I'm off to wear my old t-shirts :)
...maybe buy some new ones haha
Summary: It's brought my old life back and I can now wear pink t-shirts and dance :)
