“ Brand: E45 / Type: Body Milk / Subcategory: Moisturiser / Skin type: for dry skin / What it does: Moisturizes, „
Boots description = Endless Moisture has a patented ' constant moisture build ' technology that provides long lasting moisture and protection from water loss so skin feels just moisturised all day long. Its unique formulation contains a complex of natural lipid and glycerine that work with your skin to replenish lost moisture and then build and maintain hydration in the skin from morning till evening.
I purchased this for £5.10 (for 300ml) from Boots as part of a two for one deal. Due to my sensitive skin and occasional eczema I have long been using the basic E45 (as well as the lotion during summer months). However, due to the other products being out of stock I decided to give this body milk a go instead. The front of the bottle offered a fragrance free product and a 100% success rate in clinical trials. Such good reviews raised my expectations and I was hoping for great things from this moisturiser.
In both appearance and consistency I found the body milk to be very similar to the E45 lotion (£2.54 for 200ml from Boots). When applying it to my arms it was absorbed quickly and left my skin feeling soft. However, I also like to apply the normal E45 lotion to my face (as it is great at improving the dry and sensitive skin here too). With this body milk I found that although it appeared to be absorbed rapidly as soon as I attempted to apply makeup over the top it began to flake off. It was almost as if it had just created a layer over my skin rather than sinking in completely. Therefore, although it provided adequate moisture for my body I do not find this product as successful as some of the other E45 products, especially concerning application to my face and some of the more severe eczema patches.
Mum used to work with E45 products last year and so I frequently got loads of free products such as this body milk. It's now July 2010 and the bottle is still sat on my desk so needless to say it lasts a long long time!
A little certainly goes a heck of a long way which has it's advantages and disadvantages; firstly, the advantages obviously include it lasting a long time and thus saving money. Disadvantages though include the fact that if you squirt out too much (which often happens) you will look like a greasy, slippery child that hasn't rubbed in their sun cream properly. Yes it works a treat with very dry skin but it's difficult to get exactly the right amount of moisturiser out due to the pump action on the bottle.
Almost a years worth of moisturiser is held in this bottle and for less than £5.00 in most cases, which is cheap for such a good moisturiser.
The label on the front of the bottle provides useful information such as "light caring body milk for normal to dry skin. Just moisturised skin that lasts all day." It is fragrance free, hypo-allergenic and on the back is a whole lot more information under the headings, "Is E45 endless moisture right for me?" "Developed with Dermatologists" "Why is it different?" and "How do I use it?" Overall this product is very user friendly in terms of cost and information and, if used in small amounts, is one of the best moisturisers out there.
When hubby started to get a bit of dry skin I had to search around for a good working cream but one which had no scent as he did not wish to walk around smelling like a lady all day. The one which I found was E45 fragrance free and as the price was good I decided to get it for him.
The cream comes in a white bottle which has a label with a light blue flash down the side and the product name and E45 logo on. The back of the bottle has all the product information and direction for use. On the top of the bottle there is a push down dispenser which allows the cream to easily be used.
The cream is very simple to use and once the dispenser has been unsealed, this can be done by twisting the very top, then t just needs to be pushed down and the cream comes out of the nozzle. The dispenser will need to be pushed down a good few times on the first use before any comes out. I would advise that you don't put your hand directly under the nozzle but a few centimetres away as the cream comes out with a bit of force.
I initially noticed how runny the cream was and was expecting it to be a lot thicker, did have a few times when the cream did run off my hands when being used but soon managed to overcome this problem by using less each time. The cream is white in colour and even though it is fragrance free I was still able to smell the faint hint of a sops like smell.
When I used the cream I decided to try it on my legs and found that it was easily absorbed into the skin and did not leave any patched which felt wet or as if the cream has not been soaked up into my skin. It only took a few seconds for the cream to be fully absorbed. I did not find it left any greasy patches either. Hubby had the same results when using this on his sensitive skin and he had no reaction from using it. This worked wonders as well on my elbows which do seem to dry out very easily and after just 2 days using the cream I was able to see some good results. After applying the cream I found it lasted and made my skin feel more moisturised for a good few hours, when I applied slightly more I got a good full day of moisture to the areas it was used on.
The cream comes in a bottle size of 400ml and this has lasted in my house for months. We do not use it all the time and only when needed so it is good value.
The ingredients for the cream for those wishing to know are:-
Aqua, Glycerin, Paraffinum Liquidum, Glyceryl Sterate, Dimethylimidazolidinone Rice Strarch, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Cetearyl Sulfate, Carbomer, Methylparaben, Polyquaternium-51, Phenoxyethanol.
I bought my bottle of this cream from Tesco and paid around £5, this may seem high but as the bottle does last for ages then it works out at good value. It is available to buy in all good supermarkets and chemists.
I can only give this 4/5 stars as it was quite runny and the first couple of times I used it, it did run off my hand. If it was slightly thicker then I would have given it the full 5 stars as it does work well on a variety of different skin type and the bottle is good value for money.
If you would like any further information then you can find it at www.E45.com
The E45 Endless Moisture Body Milk is amazing . I have been using it for a couple of months now . I just started using it when i went on holiday because i have really dry skin and with me being out in the sun all day i got burned and my skin started pealing i tryed putting after-sun on but that didn't help much . Then one of my friends told me about this product and because it was so cheap i didn't think it would work but it did and i have been using it ever since that day . The endless moisture body milk is great because it sinks into all three layers of your skin ( the Epidermis the Dermis and the Subcutaneous Layer) because it's so light and it's great if your in a rush because you don't need to wait for agees on it it drying . Overall its an amazing product you should deffinatley buy it , it doesn't cost much at all it's like £4.00 or £5.00 for a huge bottle of it . It's Fragrance free Hypoallergenic and has no harsh chemicals in it so it can be used on sensative skin .
I love a good pump action bottle, especially one that only costs me £4 in Tesco. Yes, I admit, I usually only buy new products when they are on offer, buy why fork out a fortune on something you are unsure about? I know from previous E45 product experience that they tend to be like Ronseal - does exactly what it says on the tin. This is their first body moisturizer I have tried and I will start by saying I was very pleased with the results.
The lotion itself is quite thin and is absorbed into the skin quite easily and quickly (bonus when you are in a rush!). Because of its thin consistency, I was surprised to find a lot going along way. Remember when applying moisturizer, work from the tip of the toes upwards, in circular motions. This improves blood flow to the skin. For an added skin-boosting bonus, give yourself a good scrub down with a body brush, again from toe to top in circular sweeps, to remove dead skin sells prior to applying the lotion.
The bottle advertises this as fragrance free but upon first application and all since, I get the distinct whiff of Smokey bacon flavored crisp. Bizarre! However, thankfully after a few minutes this smell evaporated and was absorbed into the air rather than my clothes. It is an obvious and distinct smell though during application, which I could see, putting some people off. Be assured that the smell does go away pretty quickly though and I have been assured by several others that I do not smell like a walking packet of Walkers.
It boasts, 'just moisturized skin that lasts from morning till evening' and I do agree, though I am not sure how true this would be for someone with more severe dry skin. I did notice a noticeable improvement in the softness of my skin compared with using other products and visibly, it looked healthier. It tackled dry patches in around 2 - 3 days and I suffered no irritation or side effects. I do have quite sensitive skin too so a lack of itching was great.
I paid around £4 for the 400ml bottle, which, considering I have already had it for a few weeks and applied almost daily, still feels heavy and full. Its thick white plastic prevents me from seeing how much is left inside, but with some physical persuasion, I could probably pop the pump and peek inside that way.
E45 is dermatological, hypoallergenic and fragrance free so I would assume others with more sensitive skin than my own would be ok using this. I would still recommend testing it across the back of your hand or behind the ear 24hours before full use to be sure though.
In all, a good product that performs its job well and does not cost a fortune. Bargain beauty at its best.
E45 is definitely my life saviour!!! I have quite sensitive skin and a lot of moisturisers can cause my skin to flair up, but not E45! I have found previously that some of their creams are a little thick and take a while to rub into the skin, but with the moisturising milk it just sinks right into your skin. You hardly need to use any moisturiser as it is so easy to rub in and instantly gives your skin that lovely soft feeling that is desired. E45 is such a great product as it is soothing and calming as well as moisturising, and as it can be used on sensitive skin, everyone can use it! The bottles pump is a perfect way to not use too much and makes it easier to use when moisturising. I would recommend this to everyone as a great basic moisturiser that doesn't smell and is perfect for soft smooth skin.
I have been using the E45 range for a long time as I have slightly sensitive skin and my skin can also get really quite dry too and it always needs moisturising, and this product it really good for that. I have the 400ml version.
It comes in this large bottle and it looks really simple and clean and hygienic. But one thing that I found with this product is that when putting the moisturiser on you can't hold the bottle with one hand and it is really easy to drop it and the moisturiser just goes all over the floor. But apart from the in my opinion stupid bottle design, I think that the product from my experience of using it for about 6 months is good.
On the back of the bottle it has the ingredients and to my knowledge there is only a few natural ingredients (But I may be wrong), these include rice starch and water and the rest are to my knowledge are not natural, which is disappointing as I really like this product but I only try to use products that are natural as they are better for my skin. But it says that it is developed by dermatologists and that it has a light allergy screen perfume and it is suitable for sensitive skin.
I found that my skin is moisturised all day and it is easy to apply but it says o the bottle that it is easily absorbed but I found that it didn't really absorb quickly in to my skin. But it is hypoallergenic and it really did soften my skin.
*A quite light moisturising lotion - which is white
*It also has a nice creamy silky texture
*Smells ok, but other moisturisers smell a lot nicer in my opinion
*Difficult to hold the bottle while moisturising and for me anyway it usually ends up on the floor (Maybe that just me)
*Suitable for sensitive skin as it is dermatologically tested and it is hypoallergenic
*Softened my skin and it hydrated my skin and it lasted for most of the day
*Good high quality brand
*Not absorbed very quickly though
*For normal to dry skin
*Widely available from boots and larger supermarkets for about £2.99 or £3.99
Thank you for reading my review
I am subject to often really dry, irritated skin- especially in the colder winter months so I'm always looking out for body moisturisers that can lock moisture into my skin and keep it hydrated and feeling soft and smooth. I was never really familiar with the E45 brand. I knew their products were specially designed for dry skin and I'd heard a couple fo friends talk about how good the brand was. It was time for me to discover too!
Hearing that E45's Endless Moisture Body Milk had won 'Body Care product of the year 2009' I rushed out to buy some to see for myself. The bottle claims that the product is Hypoallergenic- which means that it is non-allergy producing. A bonus, especially if you are allergy prone or sensitive to certain chemicals.
The product is also fragrance free which is a bonus as it means the formula will be more naturally produced. Products and moisturisers that are fragrance free are brilliant for sensitive skin as they are designed so as not to irritate skin. Another thing that I like to see on the bottle is that the ingredients list is small. So there is no room for harsh or disruptive ingredients. No alcohol content.
I really like the texture of the moisturiser. It is not at all greasy and won't linger on your hands unnecessarily unlike a lot of overly manufactured creams and body milks can. This moisturiser is light in weight and I find that my skin absorbs it pretty quickly so I'm not having to sit about waiting for it to dry properly.
The bottle claims that your skin will feel as hydrated in the evening as it does in the morning when applied. I can honestly say that I agree with that as this is such a decent and moisture rich milk. I use it very often, I would not say daily as I don't always have the time, but since using it my skin has felt a lot softer and smoother. No more dryness! Perfect!
I would honestly recommend this E45 moisturiser to anyone, dry skin or not as it is a brilliant cream to apply to skin just to keep it supple and fresh feeling. It is also, very fairly priced compared to a lot of moisturisers that would deliver the same, or not as good, results.
A bottle of 200ml is around the £3/£4 mark. I usually pick mine up from my local Wilkinsons store but I'm sure it can purchased form most pharmacies or Boots stores. Give it a go, I'm sure you'll see the benefits!
The Summer months are the best time of the year, the sunlight lifts our moods and on the whole it generally improves our well being. But the sun plays havoc with my already dry skin, I start to develop extra dry skin patches and my skin feels itchy, I don't have a skin infection or eczema or pruritus I just have skin that is sensitive to the sunlight. In turn the itchy skin disrupts my sleep and drives me mad during the day.
I have been using the E45 Endless Moisture Body Milk for the last month now, I bought a 400ml pump action bottle for £4.99 from Boots the chemist.
There are two types, one is lightly fragranced and the other is fragrance free, I always wear my own `smellies` so I chose the fragrance free body milk and then there is no chance that it will clash with any other fragrance that I wear.
The white plastic bottle has a pump action nozzle which is a very good idea, the bottle will allow you to remove exactly the right amount without wasting any.
The cream dispenses easily and although it may feel slightly oily when you pump some into the palm of your hand it leaves no greasy residue on your skin. I leave my bottle sitting on the corner of the bath in readiness.
I like to use the cream when I have just taken a bath, my skin is fresh and clean and that is the ideal time to apply the body milk.
My skin on my arms seems to have been affected by the sun very badly, they are not sunburnt but the skin is irritating and it feels sensitive. So I start off by applying a fairly good layer of the body milk to my arms and then I moisturise my legs well too.
The skin on my body doesn't come into direct contact with the sun so I don't have a problem there and seeing that it is fairly soft I only apply the body milk where it is really needed.
I do find that my feet benefit no end from a good coating of the moisturiser, particularly my heels where the skin tends to get a little harder.
E45 do say that the daily stresses and strains of life can take a toll on your skin and I really do believe that.
Have you ever had a day out shopping in the city and then cleaned your skin at night and have felt shocked at how dirty it is ? It is amazing how much pollution we have floating about in the atmosphere, take one good look at any make up removal pad after you have used it to verify that.
The E45 Endless body milk has been formulated for those with normal to dry skin, as soon as you apply the light milk to your skin then it is instantly absorbed.
The body milk is feather light, I love some of the heavier moisturisers such as Astral or Nivea but they are far too heavy for this delicate task.
Endless Body moisture milk contains both glycerine and natural lipids both of which are so good for the skin. Once you have applied a layer of the body milk then you have refuelled the skin with moisturiser and that layer of cream will keep your skin hydrated for a good few hours to come.
As long as the sun shines I will keep on applying my daily layer of E45 Moisture Body Milk, it is worth its weight in gold.
You can get a 200ml bottle that will cost you about £3.90.
Over the past couple of years I've had a problem with quite dry and at worst, scaly skin on my legs. Having tried using liberal amounts of aqueous cream for a while with very little success, I decided to try another brand well known for its positive effect on dry or sensitive skin.
The product comes in a 200ml bottle, which whilst dependent on your usage, can last quite a while. I think the current bottle I have has lasted about 2 months with almost daily application to my legs.
The smell of the product is very mild and inoffensive, a little bit like sun cream and within about 5 minutes of application you can't smell it at all, yet you can definitely feel that you've put it on. It absorbs quite quickly and it leaves the skin with a much softer and smoother texture and the skin doesn't feel dry at all. Best of all, this feeling really lasts! It says on the bottle that it lasts all day and in my own experience this has most definitely been the case. Notably, with regular application, the dryness and resulting itchiness on my legs has vanished, leaving me feeling a lot more comfortable showing my legs off in public.
Being body milk, the consistency is quite thin, and can run and drip if you apply directly to the body. I would advise to pour some into your hand first and then apply to the affected areas to get the best use out of this product.
E45 Endless Moisture Body Milk is widely available in most chemists and supermarkets, costing between about £2-£5 depending on where you find it. Definitely worth this amount if you're suffering with dry skin, though always worth having a look around to get the best deal.
E45 is well known for being great for dry or sensitive skin which i regularly get especially if i don't moisturise so when i saw this product with the statement 'endless moisture' it caught my eye. You can get it fragranced or fragrance free but some things with added fragrance can irritate sensitive skin so i tried the fragrance free version. I tried the 200ml size firstly but you can buy it in 400mls too. The 200ml i bought was about £3. It has a really handy pump to dispense the lotion which is quite light and does get absorbed easily into the skin but it doesn't feel rich enough to hydrate for a whole day. It's actually quite milky in consistency as the name does suggest. A little goes a long way so my bottle lasted me around two weeks. It didn't feel greasy when i put it on my skin but the pack says it will keep your skin moisturised for 24 hours and i don't agree with this statement. Other than that it's quite a good choice as it didn't irritate my sensitive skin.
I have had really dry and flaky skin lately particularly on my legs which I have to admit really does feel a bit tight and uncomfortable so I went out deliberetly looking for a cure for it. I do know how good E45 products are meant to be although I have never any and so I plumped for this body milk because it was reduced in Boots from £2.99 to 59p and that was the clincher for me! I love making savings and am a proper bargain hunter it has to be said lol.
White plastic bottle with a light blue plastic flip top lid to the top of it and on the front in light blue and dark blue writing I'm told it is 'New' Dermatological E45 'Endless Moisture' Light Caring Body Milk For Normal To Dry Skin that gives just moisturised skin that lasts all day and is Hypoallergenic and Lightly Fragranced. On the back of the bottle (now all in small dark blue writing) I'm told all about the product and given instructions on how to use it, contact details for E45 are given, ingredients are listed, the recycle symbol is displayed as is the size of my bottle and finally there is a bar-code on there. Very simply looking bottle which is functional and practical more than fancy looking but it does contain all the information you could possibly need to know prior to using it and is easy to open etc.

Me Using It....
For me this body milk/lotion is really brilliant! I love it and I didn't expect to! Usually I love highly fragranced body creams, lotions and potions and would normally pass something as plain looking as this bottle on the shelf to be completely honest with you however if you have dry skin (like me) this is simply ace!
I use mine on my clean body almost as soon as I've bathed or showered. All you need of this very thin (just tip the bottle upside down and it drips out!)white, glossy lotion is a blob and of course you can add more as you need to. It is very delicately fragranced with like a floral smell (though the smell does fade after an hour or so and is subtle it's suitable for men or women in my humble opinion) and absorbs fairly quickly with just a general, light massage into the skin. Simply.... skin is left as promised feeling velvety smooth and hydrated and in a none greasy way and your able to dress almost immediately.
Hydration does (once again as promised) last all day long as well. My skin feels moisturised from within, comfortable and soft and smooth to the touch. I can certainly feel where I've touched my kin with this product and where I haven't which means I'm a slave to using it all over my body but luckily because the consistency is rather wet and runny, a little goes a long way and it's quick and fuss-free to use!
The benefits to using this are great. Whilst it's on the skin it feels fresh, supple, hydrated and smoothed. In the long term (using it most days) I have noticed that my skin is in far better condition and my scaly bits of skin have now gone.
Do I Recommend It?
Highly as a treatment product. Ok it's pleasant enough but it isn't what I'd call a luxury product and I do find it rather plain but if you have dried out/ clapped out skin then this could be almost (or definitely as in my case) a cure for it. It's simple to use, works and smells nice and fresh and most importantly I haven't got skin like a prune anymore so therefore feel more confident! A great treatment!
Available in many supermarkets and chemists!
