I like E45 products and have bought many of them over the years from body lotion to hand creams. I bought this Nourish and Restore body lotion recently after having noticed my legs were getting quite flaky although I was using another body lotion. I knew that E45 would be a good quality moisturiser so I bought this 300ml bottle for £3.29 from Asda. It also comes in a smaller size which was £2.75.
The cream is quite thick but it does rub in easily and doesn't leave any greasy residue or stickyness. It has a nice light sort of sweet smell but this soon fades after you have rubbed it in. To use I will squeeze a small amount onto each leg and then gently rub it in making sure that I have covered all my legs. I also use it on my arms as they are also prone to dryness.
I can say that I have really noticed a difference since using this E45 body lotion and although my dryness hasn't completely gone it is definitely much less noticeable and my legs feel much smoother and softer to the touch. I have only been using it for a few weeks so I am hoping that if I continue to use it daily then my skin will continue to improve and I will not have any dry skin.
This cream is suitable for all the family and is suitable for sensitive skin as it does not contain any harsh chemicals. I would recommend this E45 body lotion to smooth and moisturise your skin.
I am a huge fan of the range of E45 products. I find that they keep well, and that I can effectively dip in and out of using them over the year. An affordable product, it means that I can spend more money on more luxurious brands. A win-win for everyone. Except perhaps the environment.
White in color, this lotion smells the same as the rest of the range - a fresh, light scent that to me smells a little similar to baby talc powder.
I use this E45 Nourish and Restore body lotion as an all-over moisturiser. The product itself is thin enough to spread a small amount easily, but not so thick as to feel like I am applying clay to my skin. The company describes it as lightweight and I agree with this statement.
In my opinion, this lotion moisturizes my legs and arms well. It’s true that my feet and elbows need additional support when it comes to moisturizing and nourishing, but I am very happy with this E45 lotion. I certainly notice that the lower sections of my legs are more dry when I am not using this lotion.
I recommend this product as an inexpensive, all over moisturiser.
I couldn't ask more from the product really. I had been using the regular E45 cream for years but stopped (not sure why, I think I just forgot that I have sensitive skin), and though it was always adequate for my needs, this 'Nourish and Restore' version seemed more appealing due to the added natural oils. When I tried it, I loved the fragrance; it's only slight, but more feminine than the plastic smell of the standard version. After using it for several weeks, I'm pretty sure those oils have been working, as my skin feels fresh and smooth; I actually wasn't sure how I'd get on with it, as I do have very sensitive skin (and any fragranced lotion will be slightly more irritating to the skin) but it's been fine. That said, anyone out there with extra sensitive skin should still monitor their use carefully.
The price is especially great; I've tried and tested lots more expensive products over the years, and then subsequently thrown them out, but this is one I'll stick with. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic! I love this cream! I absolutely swear by it. I have been suffering from dry skin since a young age and this cream is the perfect solution. I have tried so many products and none work as well as E45 Nourish and Restore. It makes your skin feel incredibly soft after only a few uses and i look forward to using this day and night. It makes my skin feel revitalized and completely nourished. I am so glad i tried this product and have not looked back since! I would recommend this cream to anyone and have told all my friends and family about it. It not only leaves your skin looking soft and smooth, it also smells gorgeous too! What's not to like about it? Best invention ever. I love applying it and it is just an overall amazing product. Fantastic value for money. I would pay double the price due to the quality of the product (but i'm definitely not complaining about it only being around £2.20!)
Such a lovley cream ..was very impressed..i suffer with sensitive skin..and in the cold weather my skin goes very chapped all over my hands and on my face..this cream can be used all over..it's got such a lovley feel to it and it dry's into your skin quickly leaving your skin feeling very soft..
It's a nice cream to put on before bedtime so it can nourish the skin overnight, i was very impressed with this cream as i am with many e45 products..i do recommend this cream to anyone who wants their skin to feel nice a silky and smooth.. 8/10 i give it..great to take to work when the waether is cold outside, smells very nice too,be taking this on holiday to make me feel super soft :) great value for your money too so that's a real bonus i think, great buy and great cream thanks e45 be buying it again soon
Having sensitive skin can be a real pain in the you-know-what. I am continually on the look out for products that will not bring my skin out in that all too familiar red, patchy, inflamed and painful look!
In the past I had previously used the standard white E45 cream that we all know and are familiar with. My sensitive skin, and especially those parts of my hands that have eczema, did not like that E45 cream, so when my husband came home with his new E45 Nourish & Restore, I didn't hold out much hope of it being any different to the standard E45 cream.
I couldn't have been more wrong! Immediately on opening the bottle I could smell a wonderfully delicate fragrance. The cream itself is very light and easily absorbed into the skin and I have found that you actually don't need to use all that much as a little goes a long way. That is a big plus in my books as I hate slathering myself in lots of cream to feel the full effect.
E45 Nourish & Restore is a fantastic product. It does not irritate my skin in any way, shape or form which is unusual for me to say the least! I really do notice a difference in using the lotion as my skin does feel softer and smoother and the delicate fragrance lasts quite well through the day. It doesn't just disappear once the lotion has been applied.
All in all, I really love E45 Nourish & Restore and it has become my new body lotion of choice. I will be be buying this from now on and actually, I don't think I could live without it!
I took part in a bzzagent campaign and therefore received this bottle of E45 for free in exchange for reviewing the product on the bzzagent website. However, this review does not reflect in any way or form that I received the product for free. I always believed that E45 would be quite oily as it is for extremely dry skin. I was impressively proved wrong upon trying the E45 nourish and restore cream. It left my skin feely very nourished and smooth and felt very light, not heavy as I had pre-imagined. I loved this product and have since bought another bottle now that the bzz campaign has finished and my free product has run out. I try and use it every night to ensure that my skin remains as smooth, silky and nourished as this product makes me feel. I have sensitive skin, and this product works so well with it. It's the best body lotion that I have used in a while, and will be using it for a long time as it is a fantastic product.
I've tried the ordinary E45 creams in the past, practically since childhood, and have always thought of the brand as one that is typically high quality and worth buying. So when I saw this version of the cream I decided to buy it as often I get bored with buying the same things time and time again. My skin has suffered from a recent bout of itchiness due to the cold weather and one too many hot showers and so I wanted something I could use all over to help remedy this. Not to mention its just nice to apply some body lotion sometimes as I like the softness it gives my skin.
The lid is a flip cap and you just squeeze the bottle to get the cream out. I prefer this to a screw top lid as usually I end up dispensing way too much and waste half the bottle, although that said I still am prone to squeezing a little too much sometimes. The cap really clicks down so it doesn't leak but I do find it a little difficult to open at times because I have terribly weak wrists, but this is hardly worth mentioning for someone who doesn't. The cream applies well and is also absorbed easily and quickly. It is quite watery, but that makes it easier to apply and I don't mind so much as I really dislike creams that you can just feel sitting on your skin. The cream claims to restore suppleness but this isn't really something I needed so I can't say I noticed that at all, I did notice my skin felt a little softer, particularly in the drier areas I had at the time. It didn't totally remove them but I didn't expect it too either, and so having used it for a few weeks now my skin is almost back to new.
The softness of my skin seems to last throughout the day and I can notice a small change in the feel of my skin. There isn't really a strong fragrance, but I wouldn't say it was odourless either, perhaps just a clean fresh smell. I bought this on offer but I can't remember the exact price, it ranged from £2.50-3.00. The full price is nearer £4.00 which isn't that bad either as the cream does appear to last quite long. You can buy this cream from Boots, Superdrug and also Amazon, but I've only ever bought it from Boots so I'm unsure if its also available in supermarkets.
I would recommend this cream as it is a decent enough body lotion that is easily absorbed and effective. The price isn't too bad, particularly for a well known and effective brand. The only thing I would say is bad about this product, and it isn't necessarily a terrible thing, is that it doesn't really stand out. There isn't a really nice fragrance or the cream isn't overly luxurious so it isn't that different from other brands to keep me loyal to this alone. I have noticed a change in my skin and is does feel less dry following using this product, so it is definitely effective for what I wanted.
Ok, this is the best lotion ever. Its great for all ages, from babies right through to the elderly. It is fragrance free,it is a light and soft lotion, it isn't heavy and greasy. It leaves your skin feeling soft and full of moisture. It also absorbs really fast so it doesn't leave you feeling greasy, you just feel soft and moisturised. It can be used on all skin types including people with problem skin. It comes in an easy to use pump bottle. I love it because it can be used all over the body, I use it on my face, my body, my hands and my feet. It can be used on very dry skin as well as on oily skin. It doesn't clog up your skin so it won't cause pimples. It can be used to moisturise old and damaged skin as well as skin with a rash or sun spots. I truly love the E45 range and I would recomend it to all my family and friends and I have already bought some christmas presants from the E45 range
I now swear by this product! I suffer really bad from stress rashes, and they come all over my arms and sometimes legs, its really embarrassing and looks horrible! But applying this daily has meant my rash has gone down considerably. It helps to make your skin feel nourished and youthful, whilst moisturizing. Leaving your skin feeling relieved. Because my stress rash looks similar to an ezchma rash it would be perfect for that too. It is also really easy to apply and isn't too messy. Some creams can be really messy and take ages to sink in but after a few minutes of applying this cream it sinks in, so you can carry on as normal. I would really recommend this product to anybody who's skin is a bit dry or they need a 'burst of energy' for their skin, because this cream really does do the job justice!
I brought this E45 moisturising cream from superdrug, although you can buy it from a wide range of places such as Boots, Manner pharmacy. I brought it for myself as I have really dry skin, and wanted to use something to nourish my skin. I found this to be a light texture, fragrance free and good for my sensitive skin. I also found it to be great for my partner who has very dry skin, since he has been using it his skin has already improved, and softened alot more. It is very affordable, and comes in a great size that lasted me quite a while, as being a light texture a little goes a long way. I definitely recommend this product for somebody who wants to improve their skin, improve and hydrate, especially because it last so long being a light texture a little goes a log way.
Having found my usual body moisturiser too rich for the summer months (who has time to sit around and wait for body butter to sink in when it's sunny outside?) I was on the search for a light weight and easily absorbed cream.
Although I'd heard of E45 I always thought of them as slightly pharmaceutical and catering towards people with more extreme skin condition sand so I'd always overlooked them before; but on the promise of beach-ready skin in just three weeks, I bought this on offer from Boots. The 250ml bottle retails at £3.99 which I think is a little on the high side so I'd definitely wait for an offer before repurchasing.
The packaging is basic but functional - importantly the flip top lid on the top of the bottle is durable and locks into place - gym bunnies take note - this has survived plenty of journeys in my gym bag without leaking!
As for the product it's your standard slightly-off-white colour with a smooth almost gel like consistency - it's quite a thin texture which can get a little messy if you squeeze out too much. Unlike most E45 products, there's definitely some scent there - an almost generic floral type scent - if I'm honest I don't love the smell but it's not overpowering and seems to dissipate fairly quickly as the cream absorbs.
I was pleased to find the thin consistency of the lotion meant I didn't need very much to cover a big area so I think you get good value for money on a per-use basis and even happier to find that it moisturised really well.
The Nourish and Restore range has been heavily promoted in magazines and on tv as being 'specially enriched with natural oils and Vitamin B3. It nourishes and helps restore supple, softer and noticeably glowing skin in just 3 weeks' (Boots.com)
I use this about three times a week and my skin texture feels more uniform all over - I often suffer from bumpy pores on the top of my arms which I feel a bit self conscious about and I definitely saw a smoother appearance after using the lotion for a few weeks.
The lotion sinks in really quickly and I love being able to moisturise and go - I'm not sure it will hold up to the more extreme conditions in winter but this suits me just fine for summer.
I'll almost certainly re-purchase - especially if E45 care to release a fragrance free version!
I also post my reviews on Boots.com with my username Jokely86 and also on my blog - http://jokely86.wordpress.com
I got a bottle of E45 Nourish and Restore Body Lotion a few months back now from BzzAgent, along with a bottle of the standard E45 lotion. I used this throughout the trial, but got bored of it and it has only been in the last few weeks that I've started using it again.
The body lotion comes in a rather unremarkable looking bottle which is predominantly white with burgundy accents. The bottle features a flip top lid and the hole is just the right size so that I don't find myself dispensing too much at once.
It was only quite recently I noticed the bottle describes this as being 'enriched for mature skin'. I'm still in my twenties so I'm probably not the target market, although using it has had no adverse effects. The bottle also notes that this is for normal to dry skin (which would describe my skin well) and claims to 'restore skin suppleness within 3 weeks'.
Being from the E45 brand this product is of course hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin.
The lotion itself is white in colour and quite a thin consistency. I have found this to be a plus point as a relatively small amount of lotion will disperse to cover a large area of skin. The lotion is lightly fragranced and has a mild, barely noticeable floral scent. I don't think the scent is offensive and it is so light and mild, I would say that either sex could get away with using it.
The best thing I have found about this lotion is that it absorbs quickly and doesn't leave any sticky or greasy residue on the skin afterwards.
In terms of performance, I have found that it has worked quite well. It does moisturise and tackles dry patches such as knees and elbows well, leaving them softer and feeling more hydrated. I cannot say however that I have noticed anything different or special about how my skin feels since using this lotion. I have noticed no difference to the way that my skin looks either.
As I got this free I didn't know how much it cost, so have just looked it up. It seems that the lotion is available in two different sizes, with the 250ml bottle (the one I have) costing £3.99 and the 400ml bottle costing £5.49. Prices are from Boots and of course ml for ml this means the bigger bottle works out cheaper.
I think the price is fair for the product, especially when taking into account that as such a small amount of lotion is required per application, a bottle lasts for a long time.
On the whole I think this is a good product and one I would recommend. Personally I think it will have to lose a star because whilst it's good I don't think it excels or stands out as being the best of the best, but if you're looking for a reasonably priced lotion with a light fragrance then this is worth a shot.
I was given this product to test a while again from being a bzzagent. It comes in a white bottle with a kind of plum/red colour flip lid. The lotion is white in colour and squeezes easily from the bottle with minimum effort.
It states that it is a body lotion that is "enriched for mature skin".Now, I'm only 28 but hey, my skin needs all the help it can get! I've found that it is instantly absorbed when I apply it in the evenings. A little does go a long way. It has all the fancy words on the bottle including "hypoallergenic" which apparently (thank you Google) means that it causes fewer allergic reactions. I don't have any problems with allergies myself but would be something to note if you do. It also claims to be suitable for sensitive skin which is a bonus.
Now for the results. I really have noticed a difference in how my skin feels. It still feels moisturised when I wake in the morning and throughout the day. I don't think I can really comment on the suppleness element that it claims as I don't think this product is really aimed at my age range.
I will not hesitate in buying this in the future and it's now become part of my evening skincare regime. It can easily be bought for around the £3.99 mark and I have seen it in the past even cheaper. The bottle I have contains 250ml and it is still going strong even after 2 months use. I have found that the light fragrance that it has isn't at all overpowering and very appealing. It definitely is a pleasure to apply as it is so lightweight and doesn't give a greasy feel that some body lotions leave.
