E45 Nourish & Restore Body Lotion
Advantages: Lovely to apply, sorts out all my dry patches, nice delicate fragrance
Disadvantages: Fragrance doesn't last long
E45 have launched a lovely body moisturiser they have named Nourish and Restore. It's suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive, though obviously it's going to work better on drier skin types as it's aimed at adding moisture to dry and parched skin. I do suffer from dry skin, especially during the colder winter months when I spend most of my time indoors with the central heating on full blast. I use a lot of Body Butters from the Body Shop but after reading a lot of very positive reviews about this particular product, I decided to try it out for myself. I must say, I am impressed with the very rapid results it's given me, so far.
I bought this 250ml sized bottle from Tesco', where it cost £4.50. I thought that was a bit expensive, but then again, when you compare it to the £12.50 I normally pay for my Body Butters from the Body Shop, I suppose it's all relative.
The lotion comes in a plain looking bottle but it has a deep burgundy coloured flip back lid. The hole in the lid is tiny, very small indeed, but I think this is because the actual lotion itself is fairly thin in consistency and had the hole been any larger, it would dispense far too much in one go.
I have been using this lotion for a few weeks now and I have about one third of this first bottle left. However, I've been so impressed with the results, especially to the drier areas of my shins, that I will be definitely going out to buy more of this lotion once this bottle is all used up.
The lotion is easy to apply and as it's quirt thin in consistency, it's easily absorbed by the skin and a joy to rub in. It has a lovely light delicate fragrance but this doesn't last long on the skin once it's been all absorbed. I am able to get dressed almost immediately after I have applied this lotion as it is so quickly absorbed. I also use this as a hand cream and I find it particularly effective when I use it on my elbows and knees.
It's non greasy and makes my skin feel lovely and smooth and supple and it gets rid of all of those scaly patches in the blink of an eye. Though it's made by E45 it is nowhere near anything like the sort of 'normal' E45 cream I use on my daughter's eczema. This is much more of a cosmetic lotion, rather than a medical lotion and it suits my skin right down to the ground. I really feel like I am treating my skin to a lovely long hydrating drink whenever I use this lotion.
I am very impressed with it and it's certainly lived up to my expectations. I really do recommend it.
Summary: Love the stuff
