“ Brand: Biotherm / Body mist / Type: Body Lotion / Subcategory: Mist / What it does: Refreshes, „
I recieved this Biotherm Eau Vitaminee fragrance mist, along with the matching shower gel and body milk as a Christmas gift, but I've only just recently got around to using them. I do use quite a lot of Biotherm products, however these were products that I'd not tried before.
Biotherm products are quite expensive, however they do have them in Boots on 3 for 2 occasionally, and they also sell them in most duty free shops. I do normally wait and buy them 3 for 2 in Boots, or duty free when travelling.
The Biotherm Eau Vitaminee fragrance mist is a really large bottle at 100ml, which is actually quite heavy when it's completely full, however due to the curved shape of the bottle it's actually really easy to grip, hold and spray. The bottle is a kind of neon lime green in colour which I think is meant to hint at its citrussy fragrance. The fragrance mist sprays out very easily, but you do get a very large wide spray of the fragrance, I would sat that it's more like the wide spray that you get from something like an Impulse body spray rather than the small concentrated spray that you get from a bottle of perfume.
The fragrance mist has a very fresh citrussy and uplifting fragrance. It states that it contains natural essences of citrus fruits (sweet orange, pink grapefruit, citrus leaf and orange flower), which are blended to create a scent that is fresh, lively and delicately subtle. I wouldn't say that I can detect the individual scents, to me it just smells of fresh citrus fruits and summertime. The fragrance lingers on my skin all day, especially when layered with both the shower gel and the body milk. If I have a large handbag with me then I do take the fragrance out to top up during the day, but to be honest you probably don't need to as it does last from morning until evening, I think that this is just habit with me! This feels a very summery fragrance rather than a winter fragrance due to it's citrussy scent, and I'm quite glad that it's taken me until now to get around to using the products.
The directions for the fragrance mist advise you to apply after a shower or a bath all over the body for a toning and invigorating effect. I can't say that I've noticed a toning or invigorating effect when using this, but it is certainly lovely and cooling and refreshing on my skin when sprayed all over. I do use this all over as directed, as it is a very light fragrance mist rather than a concentrated perfume which you would just spray onto your pulse points. I've been using this for around a month now, and it hasn't dried my skin out or affected it in any way by spraying this all over my body.
I would buy this fragrance mist again as I do really like it as a summer scent. I'd probably ensure that I also bought the matching products to go along with it as well as I do think that they work best when layered with each other to create a subtle all day fresh summer citrus scent on my skin.
Eau Vitaminee Refreshing Fragance Mist is a fragrance which I bought after it was recommended to me by a friend and I saw it on offer in my local chemist for just £20.00 and so I decided I would try it. I know that usually it costs considerably more than that and, for example, it is currently available to purchase from Amazon for £32.50. I guess in terms of perfumes then it's not a bad price but as this is more of a body spray than a perfume it is actually on the expensive side of the product available. I'm not sure I would buy this at the full cost price, but at the reduced price then I think it's fairly good value.
The Eau Vitaminee Refreshing Fragance Mistcomes in a glass bottle which is clear and so it's possible to see how much of the spray is left - which I always prefer. There is nothing about the design of the bottle or product that really jumps out at me, but having said that it still looks clean and neat and so although not distinctive, it's equally not unappealing either. The spray is released in a fine mist which is released by pushing down the spray nozzle and this releases a generous amount of the spray. I would estimate that per application I need about 4 sprays because the fragrance is quite subtle and, as I said, it's more of a body spray than a perfume.
The fragrance is perfectly pleasant and is particularly appropriate for spring and summer wear. It's a fairly light spray with a floral and citrusy hint which is very reminiscent of the summer - and summery afternoons sat in the pub gardens with friends. For me, I think the main distinguishable fragrance is of orange, but this is perfectly blended in with other fragrances, so much so that the blend makes it difficult to identify individual aromas. I find this is just a gentle fragrance - and I like it a lot. It does have really good last ability - although I would generally top up the fragrance with one spray every four hours all so to just freshen up.
I think this is a perfectly pleasant product and I like the lightness and summery tones of this fragrance. I don't think I would pay full price, but on offer I would definitely for it again.
Biotherm is a brand I've seen here and there, but since I tend to be loyal to the brands I've been using I didn't pay much attention it. This is until I receive this product as a present from one of my friends for my birthday. I like using different perfumes and body sprays, and perfumes are pretty much the only thing I tend to change every now and them. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised when I received this as a present because I know Biotherm products tend to be expensive and it's a well known brand.
The bottle design is quite simple and elegant. The main body of the bottle is transparent and is golden yellow in colour, which I find soothing and attractive for a body spray product. Like with any other body sprays, it has a press-able button at the top, which will dispense nice amount of body spray per press. However, unlike most body spray products I've used before, the bottle is made of glass rather than plastic which is quite classy.
The product is called Eau Vitaminee Refreshing fragance mist, and as the name suggest the product has been enriched with vitamin E to refresh and hydrate the skin. From my experience, I don't particularly feel the hydrating effect of this product but it does have a refreshing effect after applying to my skin. Personally, I think the weather is to blame for; when it's too cold, it's difficult to keep my skin hydrated and when it's too hot, I tend to sweat buckets and therefore I just sweat out all the lotion and body spray I put on my body. Nonetheless, the product does refresh my skin especially if I used this during the day, e.g. after lunch time or sometime, it helps me get ready to go back to work.
As for the scent of this product, it's quite sharp and tangy. According the list of ingredients, it contains sweet orange, pink grapefruit, citrus leaf and orange flower extracts that attributes to its unique and zingy scent. In my opinion, I find the scent very refreshing and up-lifting especially if you have a late night or feel like you've been working hard.
After each application, the scent lingers for quite a long time; usually I can still smell the scent by lunch time if I use it in the morning just before going to university. Considering that body spray scents tend to disappear quicker than that of perfumes, I think the staying power of this product is very good.
The only fault I could find with this product is the price. I believe it costs around £25.00 for a 100 ml bottle of body sprays, which is more expensive than some other perfumes sold in high street shops. In my case, I can't find any fault as I receive this as a present. However, I would have to think at least five times before I would actually spend my money on this product despite the lovely scent. Personally, I think it's worth more to buy a perfume rather than a body spray for the same price as they tend to last longer. Nevertheless, this is a lovely product to receive as a present, and also to give as a present if you know someone who loves Biotherm product.
Thank you for reading. :) x
Eau Vitaminee Refreshing Fragance Mist
Biotherm is a well-known brand offering mostly skincare for both men and women, but it also has a fragrance called Eau Vitaminee Refreshing Fragance Mist. You can buy the bottle of 100 ml for around 25 pounds but it's normally also available in a gift set were you also get bodymilk and shower gel for less money, so make sure you have a look in the shop.
I think the bottle has a beautiful design and it comes in a tall round glass bottle and has a yellow colour. On top you will find the spray and a silver lid. It's a simple design and it also looks luxurious and the fresh colour of the bottle makes this a typical Biotherm product.
Overall the fragrance has a fresh scent with a bit of sweetness. I think the fragrance is more over during the day and maybe more for in the summer. I certainly wouldn't describe the smell as boring and it has lovely fruity notes which are sweet orange, pink grapefruit, citrus leaf and orange flower which really makes this more a unique fragrance. In the beginning I would say it's more a fresher scent and when it settles it becomes a bit sweet.
It's a more unique fragrance because Biotherm also made sure it has a positive effect on your skin. The Eau Vitaminee Refreshing Fragance Mist is also refreshing and it contains vitamin E with hydrating agents which leave the skin hydrated and softened. When you actually apply this fragrance on your skin it does feel refreshing on the skin and even more so with the fresh scent.
I think it's a wonderful product more so for during the day and in the summer. I think the price is fair enough. It's a fresh scent with a bit of sweetness and very refreshing for the skins. Overall five stars!
I tried a squirt of this when I was at the counter in the Department store buying another Biotherm product. I liked the smell of this, but due to the price of this then I didn't purchase it. I wouldn't buy such a product for such a price but I got this on ebay for a good price so I grabbed it when I saw it. I do buy scents around this price and perhaps more but although this is a designer brand, it's not in the same league as a main designer brand if you know what I mean - eg Chanel. Also it isn't as if this is a Perfume, just a Body Spray.
This comes in a 100ml bottle and after checking the price in the stores this can cost up to £25. I got this for £10 so thought myself lucky. I wouldn't normally spend this on a Body Spray but I wanted a little treat.
The bottle looks alright. It looks like the picture on here, so it has a light yellow tinge to the bottle and a kind of matted silver coloured lid. I don't think it looks all that expensive - certainly not in keeping with the price tag that this has.
The scent in here is pretty Citrus-y. This has Orange Flower, Pink Grapefruit, Sweet Orange and Citrus Leaf. It is a pretty tangy scent and it is pretty tangy. I think if I had just read about this then I would have perhaps thought that I wouldn't have like it, but it is surprising how nice this smells. It smells quite fresh as well, and the scent lingers well and I can still smell this faintly hours later.
Citrus scents aren't my normal scent I prefer light, airy scents but am glad I smelt this and I will buy this now and again. I have seen this popping up on ebay now and again so will probably recommend checking ebay out if you are interested in this product.
~A refreshing body spritz from Biotherm~
Biotherm have a small range of light and easy to wear body sprays amongst their range of products that offer a quick and easy way to fragrance your skin after a shower or bath, whilst refreshing your senses a little at the same time. Each of the body sprays or body spritzes as I like to call them offers the wearer the chance to enjoy the light fragrance each individual body spritz gives off, whilst ensuring that the wearer is never engulfed in an over heavy and intoxicating perfumed effect.
Having bought the Eau Vitaminee Mist spray as a limited edition product as well as in the standard style product bottle, I feel more than able to share my thoughts about this easy to use lightly fragranced body spray. With the only real difference I can see between the two products being the pretty artwork on the outside of the limited edition bottle I feel it is purely a matter of choice as to which to buy. With this version of the product the presentation is more minimal using the same nicely shaped product bottle as in the limited edition version. I feel that I am happy to use either product, although if giving this fragrance body spray as a gift the limited edition product does have a slight edge in terms of it's attractive presentation.
~Product presentation and ease of use~
The presentation of the body spritz is simple with minimal printed text on display showing the Biotherm name and wavy line logo in a simple white finish on both the box and product bottle. The clear glass product bottle has a nice shape to it that is easy to handle when using the spray. There is a simple push down spray applicator that delivers a nice fine fragranced mist to the skin, which works well when in use. The glass bottle comes packed into a smart box that matches in with the colour of the liquid inside the product bottle and the design used on both the bottle and the box make this a neat and attractive looking product with a simple clean finish. The silver metallic lid that comes on the bottle is easy to take off and replace after use and it seems to stay where it should when it should. The matching silver toned trim used on the top of the bottle neck looks smart and modern and it doesn't seem to tarnish when the spray has been used.
~An exhilarating blend of citrus notes~
Biotherm say that the blend of ingredients used in this body spritz make up an 'exhilarating mist for body and spirit that perfumes, tones and revitalizes with just one touch'. Having used the product I feel that this description is one that does indeed describe the way the fragranced spray works with the oils in your skin to help enliven your senses and refresh your mind with an array of pleasing citrus based scents. The blend of citrus fruits, flowers and leaves used to create the product include sweet orange, yummy pink grapefruit, citrus leaf and orange flower and they blend nicely to make up a fresh summery fragrance that is lively and refreshing to wear.
The lightness of this body spritz makes it easy for you to spray the product on as you would a normal body spray, although the softly misted effect has a finer and less harsh feeling on the skin than many body sprays have. I find that the horrid powder like effect that some cheaper and heavier body sprays have is not present in this product at all, as it glides onto the skin with a very light fresh feel with no heaviness, which I am pleased about. The 100ml sized product bottle contains enough of the body mist to last for a good length of time which means you should get plenty of wear from just one bottle of the fragrance.
Although the fragrance does die down far quicker than when wearing a perfume or eau de toilette the pretty light fragrance does last for some time on the skin before fading softly away. When I first wore this body spritz I was reminded of a number of influences from other fragrances that I like, with there being subtle hints of scents such as Moschino I Love Love, Eau de Lancome, Jasper Conran Woman, Boss Orange etc all rolled up into this lovely light scent. However when wearing this straight from the shower on freshly washed skin I have found the fragrance it most closely reminds me of has to be Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue which has the same light soft yet citrusy zing that the Eau Vitaminee limited edition mist imparts when sprayed on to the skin.
~Enriched with vitamin E ~
Biotherm say that the body spritz has been 'enriched with vitamin E' which has been combined with further 'hydrating agents', that have been included to help leave your skin feeling 'hydrated, softened and toned'. Having used the body spritz I feel that whilst there is no softening of the skin that I have noticed when wearing this, there has been no drying out of the skin either which is something you can find with certain body sprays and spritzes. There is some alcohol in the mix that extends the life of the fragrance and fixes the scent on the skin, although glycerin and vitamin E are also included which may be a contributing factor in the so called 'hydrating' abilities of the product.
~Price and rating~
The price of a full sized 100ml bottle of the product is £25.55 when purchased at full price, which does seem costly for a mere body mist type product, however as the scent that is produced lasts well on the skin when layered with a matching or toning fragranced EDT it does linger on the skin rather well when in use. This means that a 100ml bottle of body mist should last for some time even with regular use, making it better value than you might think at first. If wanted you can also extend the life of the product by layering it with the matching Eau Vitaminee Body Milk which can be bought for £20.50 for a full sized 200ml bottle. This product uses all the lovely citrusy based fragrances used to make up the body spray and also includes mositurising , hydrating and softening ingredients within it's mix. As I have found the Eau Vitaminee Body Mist to be a nicely fragranced product that lasts well with a little extra care and thought, I feel it is worthy of a 4 star product rating, with 1 star being deducted as I feel the high end price may put some buyers off.
~Other products in this range~
~Biotherm Eau Pure Mist 100mls ~ Invigorating and cool ~ A light body spritz with a soft aqua blue themed colour scheme that has been enriched with green fruit essences. The fragrance includes green tea, lime and kiwi which are blended together with essential oils such as sage and lime.
~Biotherm Eau D'energie Mist 100mls ( a limited edition) ~ Refreshes, softens and awakens ~ A body soft apricot themed body spray using natural fruits/ flowers which hope to awaken and stimulate the senses. The fragrance includes orange and apricot pulp, mandarin, physalis, lemon, jasmine and cyclamen.
~ Biotherm Eau de Paradis 100mls ~ A sensual yet refreshing mist~ A soft and sensual warm light pink themed body mist spray using sandalwood, musk and berries within its mix. The fragrance includes red berries and fruits such as raspberry, pomegranate and black currant
For what it is this Eau Vitaminee Refreshing Fragrance Mist from Biotherm is a little expensive and over priced for a body spray however it is a very good product and one that I really like and for that reason if I see it on a reduced price offer I will certainly snap it up. The current 100ml bottle that I have I got for £19.99 a price I was quite pleased with.
This body moist is a very nice, general use body spray, the packaging is nothing special, purely functional to be honest however the contents inside have a lovely refreshing feel when sprayed onto my body, it leaves my skin a little damp at first and you need to allow a minute or so for it to dry out before putting on clothes. It is particularly refreshing to apply it in the summer when it is supposed to be hotter. However it is not the feel of this product that makes it worth the money rather the wonderfully fresh and alive smell that it leaves on your skin.
It is a delightful combination of floral and fruity notes that merge together wonderfully well, the jasmine blends into the slightly stronger fruity smells of oranges and lemons and there is a nice subtle way that the combination of fragrances merge together to leave your skin smelling wonderfully light and summery.
I have also been impressed by how long to smell lasts on my skin, this is another reason why it can justify the high price, it is long lasting and I can still detect traces of the fragrances towards the end of a long day of activity which is really impressive.
I would recommend this product from Biotherm however it is a little pricey for what you do get and that is why if you can get it for under £20 it is worth it in my opinion.
Believe it or believe it not, I won two full sized Biotherm products in a raffle Alice's school ran for Comic Relief. It's not a brand I've come across, apart from the odd sample sachet here and there, so I didn't get too excited about my prize. Until I found out the price, and now these little freebies are among the most expensive things in my bathroom!
This body mist for example costs £25 - £30 for a 100ml bottle, it's honestly a gorgeous product but is it worth that kind of money? To me, at the moment, I've got better things to spend my money on so I'd stick to the more affordable brands. In a life without mortgages and kiddie-expenses? Hell yeah, I'd splash out on it.
The beautifully named Biotherm Eau Vitaminee Refreshing Body Mist is actually a much more down to earth product than you'd think. It's not a body spray, it comes in what looks like a very cheap perfume bottle and you spray it like perfume onto your body. That's just the action of applying it though as the actual product is much nicer than using perfume.
It feels more water based and gentle on my skin, the body mist is extremely refreshing and this will definitely be a good buy around the summer time. It's quite 'wet' when first sprayed so either don't use too much, or be prepared to wait a while before dressing. Not that it stains, but who wants to start the day feeling damp?!
The smell is amazing. Who would have thought that such a dull and medicinal sounding brand as Biotherm could come up with something so pretty and fresh? It has a citrus base which is made up of very separate notes; orange, grapefruit and a hint of lemon all come through as individual fragrances, but they all blend too which is what gives the mist its refreshing qualities. It has a sweet fragrance which lingers so nicely on my skin, it's more than a freshening mist as I will actually use it simply to smell nice like a perfume.
The mist does have a floral level (god, how weird does it feel to be discussing a body spray as if it's as multiple-faceted as a posh perfume! Can you tell I'm usually more of an Impulse girl???). This floweriness is more of a bouquet than being able to pick out individual scents, there's a faint amount of Jasmine which comes through after a while but that doesn't last long and is almost unrecognisable for most of the duration of the perfume.
After I've used the body mist my skin feels nice, the main effect as I've mentioned is the refreshment but there's also a level of moisturisation which becomes apparent the more regularly I use it. It claims to have toning properties but I must say I haven't noticed that up to yet, I'm impressed by the overall effect this mist has on my skin though. I'd consider it more of a fragrance product than an actual skincare item so any 'nice' effects is pure bonus.
It's ridiculous, but this is definitely worth the money. If I had the money at the moment to fritter away. I can go into Boots or Savers and buy several products for £25 and as finances are so uncertain I do prefer to do that, I've been so impressed with both of my freebie Biotherm products however that I'll definitely look out for special offers.
Biotherm is a premium beauty brand offering skincare for men and women, make up and body products.
Biotherm offer 3 different scented body mists which can be used as an alternative to body spray or perfume.
*Eau de Paradis - sensual scent
*Eau D'Energie - awakening scent
And then we have Eau Vitaminee Refreshing Mist. This mist aims to tone and revitalise the skin whilst enveloping it in a scent. As with its sister mist (Eau D'Energie), it contains natural fruit essences and vitamin E to hydrate the skin. The matching scent can also be found in a perfumed body milk and shower gel.
Housed in a tall, rounded glass bottle to correspond with other Biotherm products but distinctive by its yellow tone, us the mist. It comes in spray form for easily dispensing. White writing adorns the bottle offer a clean, fresh appearance and a silver lid covers the spray top.
The mist offers a lively yet subtle blend of fruity notes which together, sit comfortably on the skin allowing the wearer to smell divine. Whilst D'Energie blended several notes, Eau Vitaminee is less adventurous and offers pink grapefruit, citrus leaf, orange flower and sweet orange. The mist contains 77% alcohol, 4% perfume and glycerin.
*~*~*Availability and Price*~*~*
The best range of products can be founded on the Biotherm website www.biotherm.uk. The 100ml bottle of mist is priced at £25.55. I highly recommend the gift set they offer though as you receive 100ml mist, 75ml body milk and 75ml shower gel for only £17.00.
As you have seen from previous reviews, I recently obtained a large lot of Biotherm samples. Whilst I knew of the brand beforehand, I only had the opportunity to try out the products recently. In my collection, I received several spray vials of the fragrance mists. I reviewed the Eay D'Energie one recently and now would like to give my views on the Eau Vitaminee Whilst I love my perfumes, it is sometimes more pleasant to have a light but noticeable scent on my skin and I often find body sprays don't last all that long.
The full size bottles are quite attractive and distinct. My sprays offer a quick burst of liquid onto my skin and I like to spritz it quickly around my neck and arm area. Spritzing it onto clothes is a waste as it is designed to be hydrating. It feels cool and soothing from the time it lands on my skin. It feels a little sticky to begin with but quickly soaks up into my skin. One settled, the hydrating effects are quite noticeable. The mist feels extremely fresh and invigorating on my skin and the cooling sensation remains consistent. Applying after drying from my shower, the mist adds a quick breeze to my skin which soothes it after using my body scrubs.
The mist leaves a silky trail on my skin and this is evident in quite an area of skin around where I sprayed it. It not only feels soft on the surface, but it seems to go deep down into my skin and it allows it to feel hydrated throughout the day. Later in the day, the silky feel develops into a light, powdery texture like I have applied an invisible layer of body powder, It really is a treat and I would compare the hydration to that of a good quality body lotion or butter but without the need to spend copious amounts of time rubbing it in! It is instant and effective from applying.
The scent is certainly a treat and I hoped it would last a good length of time on my skin. Well..if you are paying over £20.00 for a mist, you want it to be more effective than a £1 can of Impulse don't you? The scent produced by this mist is vibrant and inviting. It doesn't differ a massive amount from the Eau D'Energie but is sweeter and more engaging and its oozes strength and indulgence from the first spray.
The aroma sweeps around me for an hour or so at a strength which could rival an EDP. During this time, the orange is most prominent and offers itself with a sweet and delicately juicy concoction. It settles down to a succulent and airy aroma that makes me think of a sweet glass of orange squash. Despite the sweetness, it doesn't overpower but chooses to sit close to the skin offering a fresh whift of sweetness to those who choose to be close to me.
Eau Vitaminee Refreshing Mist is a fresh and vibrant scent which could be worn by any age aslong as you can appreciate its sweet position. Its effects and scent make for ideal Spring or Summer wear, when the weather is hot as it is lighter than a perfume.
I love this mist as it hydrates and refreshes my skin. Its scent is delicious and sweet enough for my tastes. The hydrating lasts throughout the day. The scent remains consistent for 5-6hours and then I need a top up spray to keep it going. It is expensive but with the gift set being available, it makes it a more affordable scent to were. Only a small spritz on the skin is required for plenty of scent.
I recommend it x
