Having auburn hair & a fairly pale skin means that the sun & I don't really get on too well. I don't have the time to sunbathe & am well aware of the potential dangers of harmful sun rays & I don't need any more wrinkles thankyou - so I usually opt for fake tan products. I must have tried dozens over the years with varying degrees of success. Some self-tan products smell dreadful, others made me look like a pot of orange marmalade whilst others streaked. I always follow the directions carefully but rarely seem to get the result I want - ie a natural-looking streakless all-over colour. It's important to exfoliate before & ... Read the complete review

I'd seen this on QVC for quite a while and in August finally plucked up the courage to by one when I saw it on Ebay (A snip at £8!). At first I was reluctant to try it and it just sat on my dressing table. I am oh-so-pale and most self tan products make me orange, streaky or both. I'd seen this so often on QVC about how easy it was to use that I finally took the brave step of preparing my skin and I exfoliated to the extreme!! I patted myself dry, then sprayed the EcoTan - it says 12" on the bottle, but this can be difficult so I didn't worry at being only 6" away at times. You can feel the spray 'landing' so ... I know some people swear by this product, so when I saw it on QVC shopping channel last year, I thought they made this false tan spray look so easy, even I could do it!! Even though the price was £26.00, I thought I would splash out as you got free shower gel, exfoliator and body lotion with it as a package. Iam very pale and have tried several products, I always follow the instructions on the bottles, but somehow I end up looking like the Bisto Kid. Not this time I thought, they make it look easy peesy. I was prepared to give it a go then people would stop calling me Milk Bottle. The first time I applied Eco Tan I exfoliated first, ... Read the complete review

The first few rays of spring sunshine and we decide to bare our arms and legs and get a tan. But what do we find pasty, white, blue veined rough skin. Time to give your body a self tan treatment. I first tried this tan last year persuaded by the QVC presenters that this was the easiest method available. Was it, not at first, I do recommend that you practice a little first while you can still cover up with long trousers. I think the main problem I had was judging the twelve inches (30 cms) to hold the bottle from the body. My first attempt I did spray a bit too much and had a couple of runs on the ankles. After that I got the hang of it and I am ... Read the complete review

Lots of people are wary of using fake tans for fear of looking like a reject from a cheap 70s made-for-TV movie or getting tell-tale 'tide marks' around heels and backs. Eco tan is, however, virtually fool-proof and is the fake tan I always use if I'm short on time or want something quick and very easy. It's a clear liquid in a spray bottle, and the very fine mist spray is a big part of what makes this so very easy to use, especially if you hold the bottle a good distance away and spray the lightest mist on the area you want to tan. As with any fake tan you need to exfoliate and moisturise first, and if you're at all worried ... Read the complete review
