Advantages: having so many uses

Disadvantages: being pricey

I'm an Elemis fan anyone that knows me will know, I'm in my element if someone so much as mentions a blocked pore or a dry flaky patch as it gives me a chance to rave about the range yet again. This probably makes me incredibly dull and very annoying but I figure that as I'm sadly approaching the age of 27 this month, and still having to produce ID to buy alcohol most times, its got to have done me some favours right? I first came to know this product when I was expecting my daughter and I longed for a lovely warm bath each evening to help my poor back and feet, I have worked with Elemis in the past however had only used this product in the treatments not actually on myself at that point, even though it smelt lovely. If I'm honest it was a bit out of my price range, generally you're looking at paying about £35 for a large 400ml bottle, but when I was in need of something luxurious I looked no further than this. The smell is delicate and there is something of like a baby lotion smell to it almost, which I quite like as it subtle and not over powering, which otherwise massively hinders the art of relaxing and nodding off in the tub (my perfected skill). Even thought it is costly I do think that it almost paid for itself as with most bath soaks I have to empty half the contents in to get the lovely creamy foamy feel that I like and so I can get through quite a few, although as I have said in previous reviews with salon products you don't use any where near as much as its more concentrated and so actually it lasted me a very long time. To be precise I use 2 capfuls per bath and I find that is suffice, any more than that your just really wasting it as only so much will soak into the skin, so it may look lovely but its cost you alot of money for no more benefit.

The great thing about this product is also that it can be used in 3 magical ways making it very versatile, not only is it a bath milk but it's a hair/scalp conditioner and a body moisturiser! Which brings me onto the other reasons I decided on splashing out, obviously being pregnant the worries of the inevitable stretch marks started after the third month and I was determined not to get as many as my mum did with me (apparently alot of its genetic ). There is nothing harmful in this product at all so it's safe throughout an entire pregnancy and it's great at preventing them as it's so nourishing, I didn't get any until I went one week overdue, so not bad. Its a fast flowing liquid, its not gloopy so its lovely and light and doesn't make you feel all sticky after you have applied it. It also claims to be excellent on eczema, dry/hard skin areas, irritated skin and sunburn. I haven't used it on myself for any of these things however it's not hard to imagine as it's a lovely soothing and cooling fluid, perhaps for extra ease of sunburn you could pop it in the fridge 10 minutes before applying to cool the skin even more. The third use is as a conditioning treatment for the hair and scalp, I did do this as I have very dry brittle hair due to alot of bleaching over the years, yes I confess I'm not a natural blonde. It works wonderfully and when I use this I wrap cling film round my head (keep the heat in and makes it condition deeper) with a warm towel over the top. Yes I look a picture, my boyfriends a lucky man. I can't say how this would work without doing that bizarre routine but for me its gives fantastic results when I do. It can be used as a daily conditioner although I don't think I know anyone who could afford to do that. I have other little uses for it that aren't mentioned that I discovered in my years as a therapist, I use to after plucking my eyebrows to cool the skin, heat bumps, I have even put it on my lips when they were exceptionally dry last year, hand moisturiser, after waxing of any area and using in the shower on a loofah. I'm sure the list could go on and on but those are a few things I use it for.

So how good is it, is it worth the extra pennies? Yes I would say so it's always done what it should do for me and I do think helped with my battle against stretch marks and tames my crazy crispy hair. It's pricey but a girl needs a treat now and then right?

Summary: you have to try this just once but i promise you will love it
