I adore Elemis products and at the moment am totally in lust with their Spa @ Home range which, as the name would suggest, promises to bring the spa experience into your home with a collection of wonderfully pampering products which work to make your skin healthier while also being amazing to use.
The smell of the body polish is gorgeous, sweet and rich with an amazingly complex combination of florals and delicate spicy scents. It brightens up my showering experience as I love nice smelling shower products and this is seriously one of the nicest I've used in a long time, and that goes for the scrub overall not just the smell of it!
This is a rice scrub, which means grains of rice have been powdered down and it's the fine rice powder which gives you the exfoliating effect - it doesn't feel particularly bitty but I can certainly feel the polishing effect as I use it in the small circular motions as recommended by Elemis. I have a very warm shower but find the polish works best when I turn the temperature of the water down a little, cooler water also aids the rinsing process as for some reason if I let the water go too warm the scrub turns stubborn and I have to rinse for longer. Odd.
After using the scrub I never fail to be amazed at how soft and wonderful my skin feels, it's gentle enough to be used after shaving and that completes the leg-pampering session leaving me with delightfully soft skin on my legs which then only needs a dab of moisturiser to leave them in tip-top condition. When used without shaving the polish is effective on all areas of my body and leaves every patch of skin softer, smoother and incredibly healthy feeling.
At £16.50 for a 150ml tube it's not the cheapest scrub available, I do however think it's the most effective I've used for a very long time and I'm more than happy to pay this price on a regular basis.
