Disadvantages: Not rich enough for some very dry areas .
- What is it? -
* Specially formulated with almond and peach extracts.
* Softens and moisturises your skin.
* Leaves your skin feeling smooth
- Price and Packaging -
At just £1 for 300 ml this I thought was quite a good little bargain from M&S.
The hand and body lotion comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a push down plunger which also has a swivel nozzle to enable you to close it so that it can't be accidentally pushed down. I don't need this option as once open but I can see the advantages for travelling or if little hands may be exploring, however they could easily swivel it round in to the plunge and dispense position. The cream however can stay on the nozzle so it's best to give it a wipe after using it.
- Using it -
* Appearance & Texture
This is cream in colour with an extremely faint tinge of peach but only noticed on close inspection.
It is light in texture and definitely not as rich and creamy as some other hand and body lotions that I've used.
* Smell
I love the smell of almonds and had high hopes of this one smelling of almonds but it isn't the case. It neither smells strongly of almonds or peach and does in fact have an ever so slight floral aroma and is definitely in my opinion a feminine smell.
* Effectiveness
I suffer from dry skin in the cold winter months, particularly on my lower leg / shin area so I go through quite a bit of moisturiser as they can become itchy and uncomfortable.
As this isn't a heavy moisturising lotion it doesn't take long to absorb into my skin, neither does it leave a sticky, greasy feel. I do however find that I need a couple of applications before my skin feels nourished and less dehydrated in appearance.
- Overall -
* Reasonably priced for M&S!
* No greasy feeling
* Absorbs quickly
* Sometimes needs a second application and really dry areas.
* Pleasant smelling
Review also appears on ciao.
Summary: A very reasonably priced body lotion.
