This review is based on my experience of the Estee Lauder Beautiful Body Lotion which is priced around the £34 mark for a 250ml bottle.
This body lotion is promoted as being lightweight and hydrating. It offers the same scent as the matching perfume and includes notes of lillies, roses, orange blossoms, marigolds and also citrus and woody notes.
My Mum gave me a tube of this body lotion and whilst I rarely opt for heavy floral scents, I quite like this one for occasional use. It is strong enough that I do not feel the need to layer it with the matching perfume. Both products layered together offer a rather overpowering aroma in my experience.
The body lotion itself has a nice consistency which is easily dispensed from the tube or pump dispenser bottle. Only a little lotion is needed to coat my skin and I find that this lotion spreads well and leaves my skin feeling soothed. This body lotion absorbs quickly leaving no residue. I find it to be light yet hydrating for my skin especially on dry patches. My skin feels moisturised all day long and very soft.
If you like floral scents then you are likely to appreciate the classic scent of Beautiful. There is a nice blend of floral notes used and the overall scent is highly perfumed. The rose note is most prominent with there being a delicate sweet and citrussy undertone present too. This aroma lasts for a few hours before a warming touch of amber and sandalwood becomes evident. The scent is long lasting - around 8 hours.
This body lotion is expensive but it offers a nice treat for the skin and I recommend it if you are a fan of the Beautiful scent. I have sensitive skin and this body lotion is kind to my skin.
