Advantages: smells nice, not harsh, good shaped bar, lasts well, inexpensive
Disadvantages: none
A while ago while shopping for soap I came across a 4 pack of Fairy soap for 99p in one of our local shops. I haven't used Fairy soap since I was a kid but at that price decided to give it a try.
The bars are 100g each and not especially wide but quite deep and curved into a slight C shape which makes them very easy to hold onto and the convex curve fits very well into the hand while the concave side slides over arms and legs very well. They are in fact perfectly shaped, particularly if you don't have very large hands. They are light green in colour and have the word Fairy stamped on top.
The scent took me right back to my childhood and when I read the packet it did indeed boast they still use the original fragrance, although difficult to convey in words this fragrance is fresh but mild.
I'm mostly a soap and water kind of girl, sometimes I have facial cleansing foams etc but usually it's just soap and water so I used this all over, including my face.
What I found was the soap is easy to lather, very mild and didn't leave my skin tight although it was squeaky clean. That's a very good result for me as some soaps are a bit harsh on the face, but not this one.
The bar has lasted my partner and I a couple of weeks so far and is holding its shape well without lots of soft, melted goo finding its way onto the sink.
A very good result, smells nice, fits the hands well, lasts well, costs very little and does the job without being harsh. Thoroughly recommended.
Summary: I recommend this
